彼拉多说：“难道我是犹太人吗？你本国的人和祭司长把你交给我，你究竟作了什么事？”

耶稣白天在殿里教导人，晚上就到橄榄山上去过夜。群众清早起来上圣殿，到他那里要听他讲道。

使徒欢欢喜喜从公议会里出来，因为他们算是配得为主的名受辱。

大祭司和他的同党撒都该人都起来，满心忌恨，

可是我告诉你们，凡是向弟兄发怒的，都要被判罪。谁若骂弟兄：‘你这蠢货！（蠢货：原文音译是“拉加”，是亚兰文侮辱别人的用语。）’，就要被公议会判罪；谁若骂：‘你这白痴！（白痴：原文是希腊文骂人的词语，但是有少数学者认为这词语是源于希伯来文，而把它音译为“魔利”，意思是“叛徒”。）’，就罪该送入烈火的地狱。

因为你要把所看见所听见的，向万人为他作见证。

但有一个法利赛人，名叫迦玛列，是民众所尊敬的律法教师。他在公议会中站起来，吩咐人把使徒暂时带出去，

他们听见保罗用希伯来语说话，就更加安静了。保罗说：“我是犹太人，生在基利家的大数，在城里长大，按照我们祖宗律法的严格要求，在迦玛列门下受教，我为神热心，好像你们大家今天一样。
