「在那一天，你們當歡喜，當歡然跳躍，因為看哪，你們在天上的報償是大的。要知道，那些人的祖先也是同樣對待先知們的。

我的靈魂哪，你要頌讚耶和華！在我裡面的一切，都要頌讚他的聖名。我的靈魂哪，你要頌讚耶和華！不要忘記他的一切恩惠——

其中有一個人看見自己得了痊癒，就回來大聲地榮耀神，並且把臉伏在耶穌腳前，感謝他。這人是個撒馬利亞人。耶穌回答說：「被潔淨的不是有十個人嗎？另外九個在哪裡呢？除了這個外邦人，難道沒有人回來把榮耀歸給神嗎？」

耶穌對他說：「起來，拿起你的墊子走路吧！」那個人立刻痊癒了，就拿起他的墊子開始走路。那天是安息日，

他立刻重見光明，於是跟隨耶穌，一路上榮耀神。民眾都看到了，就讚美神。

這些事以後，耶穌在聖殿裡找到他，對他說：「看，你已經痊癒了。不要再犯罪，免得更嚴重的事臨到你。」
