When Peter saw this, he addressed the people:“ Fellow Israelites, why are you amazed at this? Why do you stare at us, as though we had made him walk by our own power or godliness?

彼得看见这情形，就对大家说：“以色列人啊，何必惊奇呢？为什么一直盯着我们呢？你们以为我们是凭自己的能力和虔诚叫这人行走吗？

彼得看见了，就对群众说：“以色列人哪，为什么因这事希奇呢？为什么瞪着我们，好像我们是凭着自己的能力和虔诚，使这人行走呢？

彼得看见，就对民众说：“各位以色列人哪！你们为什么对这事感到惊奇？为什么注视我们，以为我们是凭着自己的能力或虔诚使这个人走路的呢？

彼得看見，就對百姓說：「以色列人哪，為甚麼把這事當作希奇呢？為甚麼定睛看我們，以為我們憑自己的能力和虔誠使這人行走呢？

彼得看見這情形，就對大家說：「以色列人啊，何必驚奇呢？為什麼一直盯著我們呢？你們以為我們是憑自己的能力和虔誠叫這人行走嗎？

彼得看見了，就對群眾說：“以色列人哪，為甚麼因這事希奇呢？為甚麼瞪著我們，好像我們是憑著自己的能力和虔誠，使這人行走呢？

彼得看見，就應時對人民說：『以色列人哪，你們為甚麼因這事而希奇呢？為甚麼定睛看我們，好像我們憑着自己的能力或敬虔使這個人能走路呢？

彼得看見，就對民眾說：「各位以色列人哪！你們為什麼對這事感到驚奇？為什麼注視我們，以為我們是憑著自己的能力或虔誠使這個人走路的呢？

彼得見之、謂眾曰、以色列人乎、何奇此、何注目視我儕、一若我儕以己能、己虔、使之行乎、

彼得見眾、語之曰、以色列人、奚以此為奇、何注視我耶、豈以我之才能、我之虔敬、使此人行乎、

彼得見眾、語之曰、以色列人乎、何以此為奇、何注視我耶、我儕豈以已能及虔敬、使此人行乎、

伯鐸祿見而謂之曰：『義塞人乎！事不足異何注視為？抑以吾恃己之德能、而使之行乎？

When Peter saw this, he said to them:“ Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

When Peter saw this, he said,“ Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us? It’s not as if we’ve made this man walk by our own power or godliness.

And when Peter saw it he addressed the people:“ Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk?

Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd.“ People of Israel,” he said,“ what is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or godliness?

But when Peter saw this, he replied to the people,“ Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this, or why are you staring at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people:“ Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this man? or why fasten ye your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?

When Peter saw this, he addressed the people:“ Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this? Or why do you stare at us, as though we had made him walk by our own power or godliness?

And when Peter saw[ it], he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

When Peter saw this, he declared to the people,“ Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this? Why do you stare at us as if we had made this man walk by our own power or piety?

When Peter saw it, he responded to the people,“ You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

It is not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God.

John responded,“ No one can receive anything unless it has been given to him from heaven.You yourselves can testify that I said,‘ I am not the Messiah, but I’ve been sent ahead of him.’

But there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has let King Nebuchadnezzar know what will happen in the last days. Your dream and the visions that came into your mind as you lay in bed were these:Your Majesty, while you were in your bed, thoughts came to your mind about what will happen in the future. The revealer of mysteries has let you know what will happen.As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but in order that the interpretation might be made known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.

“ I am not able to,” Joseph answered Pharaoh.“ It is God who will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”

When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted, saying in the Lycaonian language,“ The gods have come down to us in human form!”Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the town, brought bulls and wreaths to the gates because he intended, with the crowds, to offer sacrifice.The apostles Barnabas and Paul tore their robes when they heard this and rushed into the crowd, shouting,“ People! Why are you doing these things? We are people also, just like you, and we are proclaiming good news to you, that you turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything in them.

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet, and worshiped him.But Peter lifted him up and said,“ Stand up. I myself am also a man.”

“ We had dreams,” they said to him,“ but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them,“ Don’t interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.”

They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, and the promises.

“ Fellow Israelites, listen to these words: This Jesus of Nazareth was a man attested to you by God with miracles, wonders, and signs that God did among you through him, just as you yourselves know.

The one who speaks on his own seeks his own glory; but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

I ask, then, has God rejected his people? Absolutely not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.

“ Brothers and sisters, children of Abraham’s race, and those among you who fear God, it is to us that the word of this salvation has been sent.
