Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand.

牲畜負物往南方、經艱難險阻之地、或作論南方之獸有預言曰彼經艱難險阻之地其中有牝獅、猛獅、又有毒蛇、飛蛇、以其貨財載於驢背、以其寶物負於駝峰、攜至不能益己之國、

約翰見法利賽與撒度該教人、亦多就己受洗、謂之曰、蝮類乎、誰示爾避將來之怒乎、

譬諸人避獅而遇熊、入室手倚墻壁、為蛇所噬、
