because they were provoked that they were teaching the people and proclaiming the resurrection from the dead, using Jesus as the example.

because He has set a day when He is going to judge the world in righteousness by the Man He has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”When they heard about resurrection of the dead, some began to ridicule him. But others said,“ We’d like to hear from you again about this.”

But God raised Him from the dead,and He appeared for many days to those who came with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now His witnesses to the people.

God raised up this man on the third day and permitted Him to be seen,not by all the people, but by us, witnesses appointed beforehand by God, who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.He commanded us to preach to the people and to solemnly testify that He is the One appointed by God to be the Judge of the living and the dead.

When Paul realized that one part of them were Sadducees and the other part were Pharisees, he cried out in the Sanhedrin,“ Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees! I am being judged because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead!”

He replied,“ What is impossible with men is possible with God.”

Is anything impossible for the Lord? At the appointed time I will come back to you, and in about a year she will have a son.”

Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say,“ There is no resurrection of the dead”?But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised;and if Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation is without foundation, and so is your faith.In addition, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified about God that He raised up Christ— whom He did not raise up if in fact the dead are not raised.For if the dead are not raised, Christ has not been raised.And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.Therefore, those who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished.If we have put our hope in Christ for this life only, we should be pitied more than anyone.But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

Instead they had some disagreements with him about their own religion and about a certain Jesus, a dead man Paul claimed to be alive.

He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself.

Jesus answered them,“ You are deceived, because you don’t know the Scriptures or the power of God.For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like angels in heaven.Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read what was spoken to you by God:I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear His voiceand come out— those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked things, to the resurrection of judgment.

For nothing will be impossible with God.”
