“ Seventy weeks are decreed on your people and on your holy city, to finish disobedience, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.“ Know therefore and discern that from the going out of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Anointed One, the prince, will be seven weeks and sixty- two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troubled times.After the sixty- two weeks the Anointed One will be cut off, and will have nothing. The people of the prince who come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end will be with a flood, and war will be even to the end. Desolations are determined.

No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this commandment from my Father.”

“ Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus:‘ I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’

Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.

I will pour on David’s house, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.

and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.

But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruits of those who are asleep.For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s, at his coming.

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many children to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.

He took the twelve aside, and said to them,“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed.For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, will be mocked, treated shamefully, and spit on.They will scourge and kill him. On the third day, he will rise again.”

Why is it judged incredible with you, if God does raise the dead?

him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;whom God raised up, having freed him from the agony of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.For David says concerning him,‘ I saw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced. Moreover my flesh also will dwell in hope;because you will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.You made known to me the ways of life. You will make me full of gladness with your presence.’“ Brothers, I may tell you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,he foreseeing this spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul wasn’t left in Hades, and his flesh didn’t see decay.This Jesus God raised up, to which we all are witnesses.
