Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen,

然上帝佑我、故今日猶存、當尊卑前所證、無非先知及摩西預言之事、

然我蒙天主祐、至今猶存、在尊者卑者前作證、所言無非諸先知及摩西預言、將來必有之事、

然予托天主佑、至今猶屹立無恙、向天下生靈、無分貴賤大小、而作證焉。所陳者莫非古先知與摩西預言必成之事、

But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen—

But God has helped me to this day. So I stand here and tell you what is true. I tell it to everyone, both small and great. I have been saying nothing different from what the prophets and Moses said would happen.

To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:

But this I confess to you, that after the Way, which they call a sect, so I serve the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets;

Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

He said to them,“ This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me must be fulfilled.”

For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote about me.

All the prophets testify about him, that through his name everyone who believes in him will receive remission of sins.”

They sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,“ Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God, the Almighty! Righteous and true are your ways, you King of the nations.

All the nations surrounded me, but in Yahweh’s name, I cut them off.They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. In Yahweh’s name I indeed cut them off.They surrounded me like bees. They are quenched like the burning thorns. In Yahweh’s name I cut them off.You pushed me back hard, to make me fall, but Yahweh helped me.

But some Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there, and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul, and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.But as the disciples stood around him, he rose up, and entered into the city. On the next day he went out with Barnabas to Derbe.

As they were trying to kill him, news came up to the commanding officer of the regiment that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.Immediately he took soldiers and centurions and ran down to them. They, when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, stopped beating Paul.Then the commanding officer came near, arrested him, commanded him to be bound with two chains, and inquired who he was and what he had done.

If it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, let Israel now say,if it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, when men rose up against us;then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us;

“ You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me.

You allowed men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water, but you brought us to the place of abundance.

“ But Abraham said to him,‘ They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’“ He said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’“ He said to him,‘ If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”

For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

Philip found Nathanael, and said to him,“ We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

But Paul’s sister’s son heard they were lying in wait, and he came and entered into the barracks and told Paul.Paul summoned one of the centurions, and said,“ Bring this young man to the commanding officer, for he has something to tell him.”So he took him, and brought him to the commanding officer, and said,“ Paul, the prisoner, summoned me and asked me to bring this young man to you. He has something to tell you.”The commanding officer took him by the hand, and going aside, asked him privately,“ What is it that you have to tell me?”He said,“ The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though intending to inquire somewhat more accurately concerning him.Therefore don’t yield to them, for more than forty men lie in wait for him, who have bound themselves under a curse to neither eat nor drink until they have killed him. Now they are ready, looking for the promise from you.”So the commanding officer let the young man go, charging him,“ Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me.”

even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.

Now I stand here to be judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers,

Peter answered, and said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying,“ This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”

Then we departed from the river Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and the bandit by the way.

When a great argument arose, the commanding officer, fearing that Paul would be torn in pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from among them, and bring him into the barracks.The following night, the Lord stood by him and said,“ Cheer up, Paul, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must testify also at Rome.”

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying,“ Yahweh helped us until now.”

But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were loosened.

Our help is in Yahweh’s name, who made heaven and earth.

But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets;

how I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house,testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus.Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.“ Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching God’s Kingdom, will see my face no more.Therefore I testify to you today that I am clean from the blood of all men,for I didn’t shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.

He said to them,“ Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

When they had appointed him a day, many people came to him at his lodging. He explained to them, testifying about God’s Kingdom, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until evening.

delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom I send you,

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

The Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision,“ Don’t be afraid, but speak and don’t be silent;for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.”

whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.For Moses indeed said to the fathers,‘ The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.

For we don’t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life.Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver; on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us;

The nations were angry, and your wrath came, as did the time for the dead to be judged, and to give your bondservants the prophets, their reward, as well as to the saints, and those who fear your name, to the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear. So I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.

persecutions, and sufferings: those things that happened to me at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I endured those persecutions. The Lord delivered me out of them all.
