今所控予諸端、又不能向汝提證。

『查得此人、煽惑我民、禁人納稅於凱撒、自稱受命之王。』

依吾等所見、此人實為蝥賊、煽動普天下猶太人作亂、又係納匝勒異端之一首領、意圖褻瀆聖殿。故吾儕拘之。

司祭諸長及經生旁立控之不休、

爾等為予之故、而被人詬詈迫辱、多方誣衊者、斯為真福、是宜歡欣踴躍、灑然而樂。蓋爾之天爵大矣。前輩先知被人迫辱、亦猶是耳。

且呼曰：『義塞人當起而相助！是即隨處教人蹂躪吾民、吾律及斯殿者也。今且引希臘人入殿、污斯聖所！』。

大司祭呈控多端、比辣多復問之曰：『爾尚不作答辯乎？不聞人之縷縷控若耶？』

爾等若果因基督之名而受唾罵、福莫大焉！蓋誠能如此、則光榮大能之聖神、天主之聖神、以爾為安宅矣。兄弟慎毋以殺人竊盜、為非作惡、或捨己耘人而受苦也。若為服膺基督之教而受苦、則非惟不可引以為辱、且當以此名義、歸榮於天主也。

其時雖有多人加以偽證、然終難得逞。繼有二人前進曰：『斯人曾云：「予能毀上主之殿。三日而復建之。」』於是大司祭起謂耶穌曰：『爾聞若輩之證言矣、竟無一言以答耶？』

群小紛紛起。誣白以為黑。

非斯都曰：『亞基帕王、及在座諸公！汝等盍觀是人、即猶太人於耶路撒冷及此間曾向予懇求、大呼勿容其生存者也！

豈可容群逆。得我乃心甘。盍視彼梟獍。對我長抨擊。妄證且咒詛。無所不用極。所幸未絕望。尚得自支撐。
