亞基帕對非斯都說：“這個人若沒有向凱撒上訴，早就可以釋放了。”

可是猶太人反對，我迫不得已才上訴凱撒，並不是有甚麼事要控告我的國民。

我查明他沒有犯甚麼該死的罪，但是他自己既然要向皇上上訴，我就決定把他解去。

大衛心裡說：“總有一天，我會死在掃羅的手裡，我倒不如逃奔到非利士人的國土，掃羅對我就會死心，不再在以色列全境尋索我，我就可以逃脫他的手了。”

我的田地若呼冤控告我，地的犁溝若都一同哀哭；我若吃地裡的出產而不給價銀，或使地主氣絕身亡，就願蒺藜長出來代替小麥，臭草代替大麥。”約伯的話說完了。

但保羅要求把他留下，等待皇上裁判，我就下令把他押起來，等候解往凱撒那裡。”

看哪，我在這裡！你們只管在耶和華面前，以及在他的受膏者面前，作證指控我：我奪過誰的牛？搶過誰的驢？欺負過誰？虐待過誰？從誰手裡受過賄賂，以致我的眼睛因此被蒙住呢？如果有，我必償還給你們。”他們回答：“你沒有欺負過我們，沒有虐待過我們，也沒有從誰手裡取過甚麼東西。”撒母耳對他們說：“今天耶和華在你們中間作見證，他的膏立者也作見證；你們在我手裡沒有找到甚麼。”他們說：“願他作證。”

保羅說：“我現在站在凱撒的審判臺前，這裡是我應當受審的地方。我對猶太人並沒有作過甚麼不對的事，這是你清楚知道的。

“大能者神耶和華！大能者神耶和華，他是知道的，願以色列也知道；如果我們存心背叛，或是對耶和華不忠，今日就不要放過我們。

耶和華我的神啊！如果我作了這事，如果我手中有罪孽，如果我以惡回報那與我為友的人，或是無故掠奪與我為敵的人，就任憑仇敵追趕我，直到追上，把我的性命踐踏在地上，使我的光榮歸於塵土。（細拉）

我若在城門見有支持我的，就揮手攻擊孤兒，

士兵正用皮帶綁他的時候，保羅對站在旁邊的百夫長說：“你們鞭打一個還沒有定罪的羅馬公民，是合法的嗎？”

保羅剛要開口，迦流就對猶太人說：“猶太人啊，如果有犯法或邪惡的罪行，我當然要耐心聽你們；

保羅對他們說：“我們是羅馬人，還沒有定罪，他們就公開打我們，又放在監裡；現在要私下趕我們出去嗎？不行！他們應當親自來，領我們出去！”

這些猶太人殺了主耶穌和眾先知，又把我們趕出來。他們得不到神的喜悅，並且和所有的人作對，
