保羅注視著議會的人，說：「各位兄弟，直到今天，我在神面前，行事為人一向都憑著無愧的良心。」

Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said,“ My brothers, I have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day.”

Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin.“ My brothers,” he said,“ I have always done my duty to God. To this day I feel that I have done nothing wrong.”

And looking intently at the council, Paul said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience up to this day.”

Gazing intently at the high council, Paul began:“ Brothers, I have always lived before God with a clear conscience!”

Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience to this day.”

Now looking intently at the Council, Paul said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life with an entirely good conscience before God up to this day.”

Then Paul, looking earnestly at the council, said,“ Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.”

And Paul, looking stedfastly on the council, said, Brethren, I have lived before God in all good conscience until this day.

Paul looked intently at the Sanhedrin and said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience until this day.”

And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men[ and] brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.

Paul looked directly at the council and said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life with a clear conscience before God to this day.”

Paul, looking steadfastly at the council, said,“ Brothers, I have lived before God in all good conscience until today.”

我在日夜的祈禱中時常想到你，我感謝神，就是我像先祖那樣以清白的良心所事奉的那一位。

因此，在神和人面前，我總是盡力存著無愧的良心。

我們所誇耀的是這一點：我們的良心見證了我們在世上行事為人帶著屬神的忠實和真誠，不是靠屬肉體的智慧，而是靠神的恩典；對你們更是如此。

這是大祭司和全長老議會的人都可以為我做見證的。我還從他們那裡拿到了給同胞們的一些信函往大馬士革去，要把那裡被捆綁的信徒們，帶到耶路撒冷來受刑。

我誠然問心無愧，但也並不因此被稱為義，原來評斷我的是主。

請為我們禱告；因為我們深信自己有無愧的良心，願意在一切事上行事正直。

保羅知道有一部分人是撒都該人，另一部分是法利賽人，就在議會中喊著：「各位兄弟，我是法利賽人，也是法利賽人的兒子。我現在受審，是與死人復活的盼望有關。」

相反，把那些可恥的隱祕之事棄絕了；不以詭詐行事，也不歪曲神的話語；反而藉著顯明真理，在神面前把自己推薦給每個人的良心。

不過要以溫柔、敬畏的心答覆，並且持守無愧的良心，以致誰詆毀你們在基督裡的良好品行，誰就要在你們受到誹謗的事上蒙羞。

第二天，千夫長想確切知道保羅為什麼被猶太人控告，就解開他，下令召集祭司長們和全議會的人，然後把保羅帶來，叫他站在他們面前。

惡人雖沒有人追趕也會逃跑；義人卻像少壯獅子無所懼怕。

所有坐在議會裡的人都注視著司提反，看見他的面容好像天使的面容。

「各位父老兄弟，現在請聽我的申辯。」
