Some men came down from Judea and began teaching the brothers,“ Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

But some of the sect of the Pharisees who had believed stood up, saying,“ It is necessary to circumcise them and to direct them to keep the Law of Moses.”

When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified God, saying,“ Well then, God has also granted to the Gentiles the repentance that leads to life.”

Sing a new song to the Lord, For He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.The Lord has made His salvation known; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.He has remembered His graciousness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

when He comes to be glorified among His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed— because our testimony to you was believed.

So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

When they had threatened them further, they let them go( finding no basis on which to punish them) on account of the people, because they were all glorifying God for what had happened;

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it produce and sprout, And providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it.For you will go out with joy And be led in peace; The mountains and the hills will break into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.Instead of the thorn bush, the juniper will come up, And instead of the stinging nettle, the myrtle will come up; And it will be a memorial to the Lord, An everlasting sign which will not be eliminated.”

Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

Since we have heard that some of our number to whom we gave no instruction have confused you by their teaching, upsetting your souls,

so that with one purpose and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us, for the glory of God.

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.

May his name endure forever; May his name produce descendants as long as the sun shines; And may people wish blessings on themselves by him; May all nations call him blessed.Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who alone works wonders.And blessed be His glorious name forever; And may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Shall I bring to the point of birth but not give delivery?” says the Lord.“ Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb?” says your God.“ Be joyful with Jerusalem and rejoice for her, all you who love her; Be exceedingly glad with her, all you who mourn over her,So that you may nurse and be satisfied with her comforting breasts, So that you may drink fully and be delighted with her bountiful breasts.”For this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I extend peace to her like a river, And the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; And you will be nursed, you will be carried on the hip and rocked back and forth on the knees.As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; And you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”Then you will see this, and your heart will be glad, And your bones will flourish like the new grass; And the hand of the Lord will be made known to His servants, But He will be indignant toward His enemies.

But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’ ”

He presented another parable to them, saying,“ The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a person took and sowed in his field;and this is smaller than all the other seeds, but when it is fully grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the sky come and nest in its branches.”He spoke another parable to them:“ The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three sata of flour until it was all leavened.”

Under these circumstances, after so many thousands of people had gathered together that they were stepping on one another, He began saying to His disciples first of all,“ Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy; as it is written:“ Therefore I will give praise to You among the Gentiles, And I will sing praises to Your name.”Again he says,“ Rejoice, you Gentiles, with His people.”And again,“ Praise the Lord all you Gentiles, And let all the peoples praise Him.”Again Isaiah says,“ There shall come the root of Jesse, And He who arises to rule over the Gentiles, In Him will the Gentiles hope.”Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying,“ Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.Let’s rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has prepared herself.”

And they were glorifying God because of me.
