If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things so that we will cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

and when I was present with you and was in need, I was not a burden to anyone; for when the brothers came from Macedonia they fully supplied my need, and in everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and will continue to do so.

Make room for us in your hearts; we have wronged no one, we corrupted no one, we have taken advantage of no one.

What, then, is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

But I have used none of these things. And I have not written these things so that it will be done so in my case; for it would be better for me to die than that. No one shall make my boast an empty one!

Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I taken a bribe to close my eyes with it? I will return it to you.”And they said,“ You have not exploited us or oppressed us, or taken anything from anyone’s hand.”So he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day that you have found nothing in my hand.” And they said,“ He is witness.”

Then Moses became very angry and said to the Lord,“ Pay no attention to their offering! I have not taken a single donkey from them, nor have I done harm to any of them.”
