於是眾教會信心越發堅固，人數天天增加。

這應許原是給你們和你們的兒女，以及所有在遠方的人，就是給凡是我們主神召來歸他的人。”

因為十字架的道理，對走向滅亡的人來說是愚笨的，但對我們這些得救的人，卻是神的大能。

其餘的人，沒有一個敢接近他們，可是民眾都很敬重他們。信主的男男女女越來越多，

於是接受他話的人都受了洗，那一天門徒增加了約三千人。

巴拿巴是個好人，滿有聖靈和信心，於是許多人歸了主。

外族人聽見了就歡喜，讚美主的道，凡指定得永生的都信了。

然而，到了神我們的救主顯明他的恩慈和憐愛的時候，他就救了我們，並不是由於我們所行的義，而是照著他的憐憫，藉著重生的洗和聖靈的更新。

這樣服事基督的人，必蒙神喜悅，又得眾人嘉許。

他預先命定的人，又呼召他們；所召來的人，又稱他們為義；所稱為義的人，又使他們得榮耀。

以賽亞指著以色列人大聲說：“以色列子孫的數目雖然多如海沙，得救的不過是剩下的餘數；

因此，現在也是這樣，按著恩典的揀選，還有剩下的餘數。既然是靠著恩典，就不再是由於行為了；不然的話，恩典就不再是恩典了。那又怎麼樣呢？以色列人懇切尋找的，他們沒有得到，蒙揀選的人倒得著了。其餘的人都成了頑固的，

耶穌的智慧和身量，以及神和人對他的喜愛，都不斷增長。

眾人因著所發生的事，都頌讚神，於是公議會為了群眾的緣故，也因為找不到藉口懲罰他們，就恐嚇一番，把他們放了。

但他們不知道要怎樣下手，因為眾人都圍著他，聽他的教訓。

使徒大有能力，為主耶穌的復活作見證，眾人都蒙了大恩。
