于是众教会信心越发坚固，人数天天增加。

这应许原是给你们和你们的儿女，以及所有在远方的人，就是给凡是我们主神召来归他的人。”

因为十字架的道理，对走向灭亡的人来说是愚笨的，但对我们这些得救的人，却是神的大能。

其余的人，没有一个敢接近他们，可是民众都很敬重他们。信主的男男女女越来越多，

于是接受他话的人都受了洗，那一天门徒增加了约三千人。

巴拿巴是个好人，满有圣灵和信心，于是许多人归了主。

外族人听见了就欢喜，赞美主的道，凡指定得永生的都信了。

然而，到了神我们的救主显明他的恩慈和怜爱的时候，他就救了我们，并不是由于我们所行的义，而是照着他的怜悯，藉着重生的洗和圣灵的更新。

这样服事基督的人，必蒙神喜悦，又得众人嘉许。

他预先命定的人，又呼召他们；所召来的人，又称他们为义；所称为义的人，又使他们得荣耀。

以赛亚指着以色列人大声说：“以色列子孙的数目虽然多如海沙，得救的不过是剩下的余数；

因此，现在也是这样，按着恩典的拣选，还有剩下的余数。既然是靠着恩典，就不再是由于行为了；不然的话，恩典就不再是恩典了。那又怎么样呢？以色列人恳切寻找的，他们没有得到，蒙拣选的人倒得着了。其余的人都成了顽固的，

耶稣的智慧和身量，以及神和人对他的喜爱，都不断增长。

众人因着所发生的事，都颂赞神，于是公议会为了群众的缘故，也因为找不到借口惩罚他们，就恐吓一番，把他们放了。

但他们不知道要怎样下手，因为众人都围着他，听他的教训。

使徒大有能力，为主耶稣的复活作见证，众人都蒙了大恩。
