He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

问他们：“你们信的时候，是否领受了圣灵？”他们告诉他：“其实我们也没有听说过是否有圣灵。”

就問他們說：『你們信的時候、受了聖靈沒有？』他們對他說：『沒有，我們甚至還沒聽見過有聖靈賜下來呢！』

問他們：「你們信的時候，是否領受了聖靈？」他們告訴他：「其實我們也沒有聽說過是否有聖靈。」

爾信時曾受聖神否、對曰、聖神之臨、我未之聞也、

爾曹信後、曾受聖神否、曰、聖神降否、我未之聞也、

問之曰、爾曹信後、曾受聖神否、曰、我儕未聞有聖神、

『爾奉教後曾受聖神否？』答曰：『否、且未聞有聖神也。』

and asked them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered,“ No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

He asked them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?”“ No,” they answered.“ We haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

And he said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said,“ No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them.“ No,” they replied,“ we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

and asked them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”“ No,” they told him,“ we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

He said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said to him,“ On the contrary, we have not even heard if there is a Holy Spirit.”

He said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They said to him,“ No, we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

( But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet[ given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you,[ doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as[ he did] unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,[ even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Now concerning spiritual[ gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant.Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and[ that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another[ divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

When they heard[ this], they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost[ which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:( For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)Then laid they[ their] hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.
