For last night an angel of the God I belong to and serve stood by meand said,‘ Don’t be afraid, Paul. It is necessary for you to appear before Caesar. And indeed, God has graciously given you all those who are sailing with you.’So take courage, men, because I believe God that it will be just the way it was told to me.

“ But you, son of man, do not be afraid of them and do not be afraid of their words, even though briers and thorns are beside you and you live among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words or discouraged by the look on their faces, for they are a rebellious house.Speak my words to them whether they listen or refuse to listen, for they are rebellious.“ And you, son of man, listen to what I tell you: Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you.”

Boasting is necessary. It is not profitable, but I will move on to visions and revelations of the Lord.I know a man in Christ who was caught up to the third heaven fourteen years ago. Whether he was in the body or out of the body, I don’t know; God knows.I know that this man— whether in the body or out of the body I don’t know; God knows—

Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel.For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough to speak about it as I should.

During the night Paul had a vision in which a Macedonian man was standing and pleading with him,“ Cross over to Macedonia and help us!”

As for me, however, I am filled with power by the Spirit of the LORD, with justice and courage, to proclaim to Jacob his rebellion and to Israel his sin.

On the contrary, after we had previously suffered and were treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know, we were emboldened by our God to speak the gospel of God to you in spite of great opposition.

“ Get up! Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach the message that I tell you.”

“ Now, get ready. Stand up and tell them everything that I command you. Do not be intimidated by them or I will cause you to cower before them.

“ Cry out loudly, don’t hold back! Raise your voice like a ram’s horn. Tell my people their transgression and the house of Jacob their sins.

and saw him telling me,‘ Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’

I have made your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them or discouraged by the look on their faces, though they are a rebellious house.”Next he said to me,“ Son of man, listen carefully to all my words that I speak to you and take them to heart.Go to your people, the exiles, and speak to them. Tell them,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says,’ whether they listen or refuse to listen.”
