他就是狂妄自大、一无所知。这种人专好问难，争辩字句，结果引起嫉妒、纷争、毁谤和猜忌，

彼拉多见再说也无济于事，反而会引起骚乱，于是拿了一盆水来，在众人面前洗手，说：“流这义人的血，罪不在我，你们自己负责。”

如果我做错了，犯了该死的罪，我决不逃避！但他们对我的指控毫无根据，谁也不能把我交给他们。我要向凯撒上诉！”

不要参与愚昧无知的辩论，因为这些事只会引起纷争。

“我出卖了清白无辜的人，我犯罪了！”他们说：“那是你自己的事，跟我们有什么关系？”

彼拉多说：“你们把祂带走，按照你们的律法去审理吧。”犹太人说：“可是我们无权把人处死。”

要避免愚昧的争论、有关家谱的辩驳和律法上的争执，因为这些毫无益处。

尤其是你对犹太习俗和各种争议都十分熟悉。因此，求你耐心听我说。

企图玷污圣殿，被我们抓住了。我们想按照犹太律法处置他，不料吕西亚千夫长却硬把他从我们手中抢走，并命令告他的人到大人这里来。大人亲自审问他，就会知道我们告他的事了。”

也不要沉迷于虚构的神话和冗长的家谱，因为这些事只会引起无用的猜测和辩论，无法帮助人凭信心认识上帝的救赎计划。
