For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses.

Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:

and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.And his name— by faith in his name— has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.

Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers also conversed with him. And some said,“ What does this babbler wish to say?” Others said,“ He seems to be a preacher of foreign divinities”— because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection.
