哪一个大国的人有神与他们这样亲近，像耶和华我们的神，在我们每次呼求他的时候，与我们亲近一样呢？

难道我只是近处的神吗？不也是远处的神吗？”这是耶和华的宣告。“人怎能躲藏在隐密处，以致我看不见他呢？（这是耶和华的宣告）。我岂不是充满天地吗？”这是耶和华的宣告。

其实自从创世以来，神那看不见的事，就如他永恒的大能和神性，都是看得见的，就是从他所造的万物中可以领悟，叫人没有办法推诿。

使余下的人，就是所有称为我名下的外族人，都寻求主，

还是你藐视神丰富的恩慈、宽容和忍耐，不晓得他的恩慈是要领你悔改的吗？

耶和华啊！你鉴察了我，你认识我。（本节在《马索拉文本》包括细字标题）我坐下，我起来，你都知道；你在远处就明白我的意念。我行路，我躺卧，你都细察；我的一切行为，你都熟悉。耶和华啊！我的舌头还没有发言，你已经完全知道了。你在我前后围绕着我，你的手按在我身上。这样的知识奇妙，是我不能理解的；高超，是我不能达到的。我到哪里去躲避你的灵？我往哪里去逃避你的面呢？如果我升到天上，你在那里；如果我在阴间下榻，你也在那里。如果我展开清晨的翅膀，飞到海的极处居住，就是在那里，你的手仍必引导我，你的右手也必扶持我。如果我说：“愿黑暗遮盖我，愿我周围的亮光变成黑夜。”但对你来说，黑暗也不算是黑暗，黑夜必如同白昼一样发亮，黑暗和光明，在你看来都是一样的。我的脏腑是你所造的，在我母腹中你塑造了我。

诸天述说神的荣耀，穹苍传扬他的作为。天天发出言语，夜夜传出知识。没有话语，没有言词，人也听不到它们的声音。它们的声音（按照《马索拉文本》，“声音”作“准绳”；现参照《七十士译本》等古译本翻译）传遍全地，它们的言语传到地极，神在它们中间为太阳安设帐幕。太阳如同新郎出洞房，又像勇士欢欢喜喜地跑路。它从天的这边出来，绕行到天的那边；没有什么可以隐藏，得不到它的温暖。

“神真的住在地上吗？看哪！天和天上的天尚且不能容纳你，何况我建造的这殿呢？
