我方行遊、見爾所拜、遇一壇、書曰、未識之上帝、爾所未識而崇奉者、我為爾告之、

我適遊行、欲觀爾所崇拜者、遇一祭壇、上刻曰、未識之主、爾所未識而崇拜者、今我告爾、

蓋吾嘗閒步街頭、一覽爾所崇拜之對象、偶值一壇、上書「獻於未識之神。」茲吾欲揭示於爾者、正爾所未識而敬事者也。

For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship— and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.

爾曹拜所不知者、我儕拜所知者、蓋拯救出自猶太人也、

昔爾不識上帝、役於本非神者、今既知之、更為上帝所知、何反向劣弱空乏之小學、復欲為之役乎、

永生也者、識爾為獨一之真上帝、與爾所遣之耶穌基督也、

是以往時無知、上帝容之、今乃隨在命眾改悔、

其拜我徒然、以所教者、乃人所命耳、

蓋世既依上帝之智、而自恃己智不識上帝、故上帝喜以若愚之道救諸信者、

義哉父乎、世弗爾知、惟我知爾、斯人亦知爾遣我也、

耶穌曰、我若自榮、我榮則無矣、榮我者乃我父、即爾所言爾之上帝也、

彼知識中既不願有上帝、上帝遂任其喪心、行非宜之行、

雖稱神者不一、或在天、或在地、如有多神多主、

又知上帝子已至、賜我頴悟、使知真者、我儕在真者中、即其子耶穌基督中也、此乃真上帝、亦永生也、

此爾所行、而我緘默、遂意我與爾同、其實我必責爾、列斯事於爾前兮、

至於他邦、未嘗如是待之、彼之律例、他邦未之識、爾其頌美耶和華兮、

願尊榮歸於永世、無敝無形之王、獨一之上帝、爰及世世、阿們、○

自創世以來、上帝之永能神性、即所莫見者、已明見矣、乃由所造之物而知之、致人末由推諉、顧彼既知上帝、而不以上帝榮之、亦不謝之、乃思議虛妄、心蠢而昧、自稱為智、適成為愚、以不朽上帝之榮、而易以必朽之人、及禽獸昆蟲之狀、○故上帝任其心之嗜慾、陷於不潔、致互辱其身、彼以上帝之真、易之以偽、寧崇奉受造之物、不崇奉造物之主、夫上帝乃世世當頌者、阿們、○

此乃背逆自尊者、以抗乎凡稱為上帝、及受崇拜者、甚至坐於上帝殿、自命為上帝、

斯世之靈、盲其中不信者之心、使基督有榮之福音、光不之照、夫基督上帝像也、我儕所宣非己、乃基督耶穌為主、己則緣耶穌為爾僕耳、蓋命光由暗而照之上帝、已照我心、俾知上帝榮之光、即顯於耶穌基督之面者也、○
