智慧不是在呼唤，聪明不是在发声吗？它在路旁高处的最高点，在十字路口站着；在城门旁，在城门口，在进城门的空地上大声呼喊：“众人哪！我向你们呼唤，对世人发声。

随即在各会堂传讲耶稣，说他是神的儿子。

保罗照他的习惯进去，一连三个安息日，根据圣经与他们辩论，讲解证明基督必须受害，从死人中复活，说：“我所传给你们的这位耶稣，就是基督。”他们中间有人给说服了，就附从了保罗和西拉；还有一大群虔诚的希腊人，和不少显要的妇女。

他又对他们说：“你们到全世界去，向所有的人传福音。

保罗就站起来，作了一个手势，说：“以色列人和敬畏神的人，请听！

耶稣看见群众，就上了山；他坐下之后，门徒来到他跟前，他就开口教训他们：

听从我，天天在我门口警醒仰望，在我门框旁边守候的人，是有福的。

保罗和巴拿巴在以哥念照样进犹太的会堂讲道，结果一大群犹太人和希腊人都信了。但不顺从的犹太人，煽动外族人，激起他们仇恨的心，来反对弟兄们。两人却仍住了很久，靠着主放胆讲论，主也藉着他们的手行神迹奇事，证实他恩惠的道。城里众人就分裂了，有的附从犹太人，也有的附从使徒。

因此，我心里充满耶和华的忿怒，无法容忍。“你要把我的忿怒向街上的孩童倾倒，又倾在联群集结的年轻人身上。夫妻一起被捉住，年老的、寿高的也不例外。

智慧在街上呼喊，在广场上扬声；在闹市中心呼叫，在城门口发出言语，说：“你们愚蒙人喜爱愚蒙，好讥笑的人喜欢讥笑，愚昧人恨恶知识，要到几时呢？

那时，人会专爱自己、贪爱钱财、自夸、高傲、亵渎、悖逆父母、忘恩负义、不圣洁、

有些虔诚的人安葬了司提反，为他大大悲痛一番。

他是一个虔诚的人，他和全家都敬畏神，对人民行过许多善事，常常向神祷告。

有敬虔的形式，却否定敬虔的能力；这些人你应当避开。
