But then some of the believers who belonged to the sect of the Pharisees stood up and insisted,“ The Gentile converts must be circumcised and required to follow the law of Moses.”

有一些人从犹太下来，教导弟兄们说：“你们如果不按摩西的规矩受割礼，就不能得救。”

我出生第八天受了割礼；我属于以色列族、便雅悯支派，是希伯来人所生的希伯来人；按照律法说，我是法利赛人；按照热心说，我曾经逼迫教会；按照律法上的义说，我是无可指责的。然而，以前对我有益的事，现在因基督的缘故，我已经把这些事看做是损失。不但如此，我甚至把一切都看做是损失，因为我把认识我主基督耶稣看为是至高无上的。我为基督耶稣损失了一切，而且把一切都看做是粪土，为要赢得基督，

我们听说从我们这里出去的一些人，用一些话使你们不安，搅扰你们的心灵。其实我们没有吩咐他们。

基督释放了我们，使我们得自由。所以你们当站立得稳，不要再被奴役的轭所束缚。看，我保罗告诉你们：如果你们要受割礼，基督就对你们毫无益处了。我再次忠告每一个受割礼的人：他有责任遵行全部律法。

他们从一开始就已经认识我，如果他们愿意就可以见证：我是按着我们宗教中最严格的教派，过着法利赛人的生活。现在我站在这里受审，是因为盼望神已经赐给我们祖先的那应许。

我们发现这个人像瘟疫一样，煽动普天下犹太人暴乱；他又是拿撒勒人教派的一个头目。

他们听了就不住地荣耀神，又对保罗说：“弟兄，你看犹太人中信主的人有多少万，而且他们都是对律法热心的人。
