至於信主的外族人，我們已經寫了信，吩咐他們要禁戒祭偶像的食物、血、勒死的牲畜和淫亂。”

你們看看按肉身是以色列人，那些吃祭物的不就是與祭壇有分嗎？我說的是甚麼意思呢？偶像算得甚麼，還是祭過偶像的食物算得甚麼？我是說，教外人所祭的是鬼，不是獻給神；我卻不願意你們與鬼來往。

然而有幾件事我要責備你，因為在你那裡有些人持守巴蘭的教訓。這巴蘭曾經教導巴勒把絆腳石放在以色列人面前，叫他們吃祭過偶像的食物，並且行淫亂。

然而有一件事我要責備你，就是你容讓那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別，教導和引誘我的眾僕人行淫亂，吃祭過偶像的食物。

最後，弟兄們，你們要喜樂，要完全，要受安慰，要同心，要和睦。這樣，施慈愛賜平安的神必與你們同在。

“因為所有動物的生命就在牠們的血中（“因為所有動物的生命就在牠們的血中”直譯是“因為所有動物的生命就是牠的血；牠是在牠的生命裡”；或譯：“論到所有動物的生命，牠的血是在牠的生命裡”），所以我對以色列人說：任何動物的血，你們都不可吃；因為所有動物的血，就是牠的生命；吃血的，必被剪除。

不可因食物的緣故拆毀神的工作。一切都是潔淨的，但人若因食物絆倒弟兄，對他來說，這就是惡事了。無論是吃肉，是喝酒，或是甚麼使你的弟兄跌倒的事，一律不要作才好。

在父神看來，純潔無玷污的虔誠，就是照顧患難中的孤兒寡婦，並且保守自己不被世俗所污染。

我知道，並且在主耶穌裡深信，沒有一樣東西的本身是不潔的，但如果有人認為是不潔的，對他來說那東西就成為不潔了。如果你為了食物使你的弟兄憂愁，你就不再是憑著愛心行事了。你不可因著你的食物，使基督已經替他死了的人滅亡。

不要匆匆忙忙地替別人按手，也不要在別人的罪上有分，要保守自己清潔。

願榮耀、威嚴、能力、權柄，藉著我們的主耶穌基督，從萬世以前，及現在，直到永永遠遠，歸給獨一的神我們的救主。他能保守你們不至跌倒，使你們毫無瑕疵、歡然站在他榮光之前。阿們。

我在你們那裡有缺乏的時候，並沒有連累任何人，因為從馬其頓來的弟兄們，補足了我的缺乏。我在各方面都不讓自己成為你們的重擔，將來也是一樣。

但你們呢，親愛的，你們要在至聖的信仰上建立自己，在聖靈裡禱告，要保守自己在神的愛中，仰望我們主耶穌基督的憐憫，直到永生。

卻辭別他們說：“神若許可，我還要回到你們這裡來。”於是從以弗所開船去了。

又有一個人說：“主，我要跟從你，但容我先回去，向家人道別。”

後來我接到密報，得知害他的陰謀，就立刻把他送到你那裡去，並且吩咐原告到你面前來控告他。”
