所以我们派了犹大和赛拉斯去，他们会亲口报告同样的事，

犹大和赛拉斯自己也是做先知传道的。他们用很多话鼓励弟兄们，坚固他们。

藉着我看为忠心的弟兄赛拉斯，我简要地写了这封信，劝勉你们，并且证明这是神真实的恩典。你们要在这恩典中站立得住。

保罗却选了赛拉斯。弟兄们把保罗交托于主的恩典之后，他就出发了。

狱卒叫人拿了灯来，就冲进去，战战兢兢地俯伏在保罗和赛拉斯面前，

于是弟兄们立刻送保罗往海边去，赛拉斯和提摩太仍然留在庇里亚。

约在半夜，保罗和赛拉斯祷告、唱诗赞美神，其他的囚犯们都侧耳听着。

赛拉斯和提摩太从马其顿省下来的时候，保罗被这福音所催逼，向犹太人郑重地见证耶稣是基督。

于是他们推举了两个人，就是那叫巴撒巴，又被称为犹斯托的约瑟，还有马提亚。

女仆的主人们看见他们的生意没有希望了，就揪住保罗和赛拉斯，把他们拖到街市上去见首领们。

保罗、赛拉斯、提摩太，致那在神我们的父和主耶稣基督里的帖撒罗尼迦人的教会：

保罗、赛拉斯、提摩太，致那在父神和主耶稣基督里的帖撒罗尼迦人的教会：愿恩典与平安临到你们！

他们当中有些人被说服了，就跟从了保罗和赛拉斯；不但有一大群敬神的希腊人，还有不少显要的妇女。

弟兄们立刻连夜送保罗和赛拉斯往庇里亚城去。两个人一到，就进了犹太人的会堂。

他们带去的信这样写着：“做使徒的和年长的弟兄们，问候安提阿、叙利亚省和奇里乞亚省的外邦弟兄们。

在耶路撒冷的使徒们听说撒马利亚人接受了神的话语，就派彼得和约翰到他们那里去。

这样，我们将可专心于祷告和福音的服事工作。”这话使全体会众都喜悦，于是选出了司提反——他是一个充满信仰和圣灵的人，还有腓利、普罗克罗、尼卡诺、提门、帕米纳，以及入犹太教的安提阿人尼古拉斯。

我们已达成了一致，认为应该拣选几个人，派他们与我们亲爱的巴拿巴和保罗一起到你们那里去。

有一些人从犹太下来，教导弟兄们说：“你们如果不按摩西的规矩受割礼，就不能得救。”保罗、巴拿巴与他们发生了不小的争执和辩论，他们就指定保罗、巴拿巴和其中的另一些人为这争议的问题，上耶路撒冷到使徒们和长老们那里去。

这消息传到在耶路撒冷的教会，他们就派巴拿巴到安提阿去。
