保罗则选了西拉同行，弟兄姊妹把他们交托在主的恩典中。

狱卒叫人拿灯过来，冲进内牢，战战兢兢地俯伏在保罗和西拉面前。

庇哩亚的弟兄姊妹立刻送保罗到海边，西拉和提摩太仍然留在庇哩亚。

半夜，保罗和西拉祷告、唱诗赞美上帝，其他的囚犯都侧耳倾听。

西拉和提摩太从马其顿来了之后，保罗就把全部时间都用来传道，向犹太人证明耶稣是基督。

被提名的有别号巴撒巴又叫犹士都的约瑟和马提亚两个人。

她的主人们眼见财路断绝了，就把保罗和西拉揪住，拖到广场去见官长。

不少人被说服，成为保罗和西拉的同道，其中有许多是敬畏上帝的希腊人和有地位的妇女。

弟兄姊妹在夜间把保罗和西拉送往庇哩亚。他们二人一到，就进了犹太会堂。

他们带去的书信这样说：“安提阿、叙利亚和基利迦的外族弟兄姊妹，你们的弟兄——众使徒和长老向你们问安！

众人听见了，都很喜悦，王做的每一件事都令他们喜悦。

耶路撒冷的使徒听说撒玛利亚人接受了上帝的道，就派彼得和约翰去那里。

而我们要专心祈祷和传道。”大家一致同意，便选出充满信心、被圣灵充满的司提凡，此外还有腓利、伯罗哥罗、尼迦挪、提门、巴米拿，以及曾信过犹太教、来自安提阿的外族人尼哥拉。

王与全体会众都很赞成这个计划。

耶和华上帝感动犹大人，使他们一心遵从王与众官员奉祂的指示所下的命令。

所以我们一致决定选派代表，随我们敬爱的巴拿巴和保罗去你们那里。

有几个从犹太下来的人教导弟兄们说：“你们若不照着摩西的规条接受割礼，就不能得救。”保罗和巴拿巴为这件事与他们激烈地辩论，最后大家决定派保罗、巴拿巴和几个当地的信徒上耶路撒冷去跟使徒和长老讨论这件事。

耶路撒冷教会的人听到这消息后，就派巴拿巴去安提阿。
