我誠然是自由的，不屬於任何人，但我使自己成為所有人的奴僕，為了贏得更多的人。對猶太人，我就成為一個像猶太人那樣的人，為了贏得猶太人；對律法之下的人，雖然我自己不在律法之下，我卻成為一個像是在律法之下的人，為了贏得在律法之下的人；對沒有律法的人，我就成為一個像是沒有律法的人那樣，為了贏得沒有律法的人——對神，我不是沒有律法的，而是在基督的律法之下。對軟弱的人，我就成為軟弱的人，為了贏得軟弱的人。對什麼樣的人，我就成為什麼樣的人，一定要拯救一些人。並且我做這一切，都是為了福音的緣故，好使我能成為在福音上一同有份的人。

我感到驚奇，你們這麼輕易地離棄了藉著基督的恩典召喚你們的那一位，轉向了別的福音。其實那並不是另一個福音，而是有些人在攪擾你們，想要篡改基督的福音。然而，就算是我們，或是天上來的使者，如果向你們傳講的福音，與我們先前所傳給你們的不同，他就該受詛咒。我們先前說過，現在我再說：如果有人向你們傳講的福音，與你們先前所領受的不同，他就該受詛咒。我現在到底是要得人的信任，還是要得神的信任呢？難道我是想討人的喜悅嗎？如果我仍然討人的喜悅，我就不是基督的奴僕了。

所以，雖然我在基督裡大有膽量，可以吩咐你去做合宜的事，但為了愛的緣故，我寧願懇求你。我保羅——像我這樣一個老人，而現在又是基督耶穌的囚犯——

當他們經過那些城鎮的時候，就把耶路撒冷的使徒們和長老們所定的規條，傳達給大家遵守。

所以我們派了猶大和賽拉斯去，他們會親口報告同樣的事，

聖靈吩咐我：要陪他們一起去，不要有任何疑惑。當時與我一起去的，還有這六位弟兄。後來我們就進了那人的家。

實際上，我認為自己沒有一點趕不上那些「超級使徒」。

我們已達成了一致，認為應該揀選幾個人，派他們與我們親愛的巴拿巴和保羅一起到你們那裡去。

彼得就請他們進來，招待了他們。第二天，他起身與他們一同去，還有一些約帕的弟兄陪他一起去。

各位蒙愛的人哪，我一直十分殷切地要寫信給你們，談論我們共有的救恩；我感到有必要寫信鼓勵你們，為曾經一次性地託付給聖徒們的信仰而努力爭戰，

第二天，保羅與我們一起去探望雅各，所有的長老也都來了。

我們對這些人，一刻也沒有屈服妥協，好使福音的真理在你們中間繼續存留。
