我诚然是自由的，不属于任何人，但我使自己成为所有人的奴仆，为了赢得更多的人。对犹太人，我就成为一个像犹太人那样的人，为了赢得犹太人；对律法之下的人，虽然我自己不在律法之下，我却成为一个像是在律法之下的人，为了赢得在律法之下的人；对没有律法的人，我就成为一个像是没有律法的人那样，为了赢得没有律法的人——对神，我不是没有律法的，而是在基督的律法之下。对软弱的人，我就成为软弱的人，为了赢得软弱的人。对什么样的人，我就成为什么样的人，一定要拯救一些人。并且我做这一切，都是为了福音的缘故，好使我能成为在福音上一同有份的人。

我感到惊奇，你们这么轻易地离弃了藉着基督的恩典召唤你们的那一位，转向了别的福音。其实那并不是另一个福音，而是有些人在搅扰你们，想要篡改基督的福音。然而，就算是我们，或是天上来的使者，如果向你们传讲的福音，与我们先前所传给你们的不同，他就该受诅咒。我们先前说过，现在我再说：如果有人向你们传讲的福音，与你们先前所领受的不同，他就该受诅咒。我现在到底是要得人的信任，还是要得神的信任呢？难道我是想讨人的喜悦吗？如果我仍然讨人的喜悦，我就不是基督的奴仆了。

所以，虽然我在基督里大有胆量，可以吩咐你去做合宜的事，但为了爱的缘故，我宁愿恳求你。我保罗——像我这样一个老人，而现在又是基督耶稣的囚犯——

当他们经过那些城镇的时候，就把耶路撒冷的使徒们和长老们所定的规条，传达给大家遵守。

所以我们派了犹大和赛拉斯去，他们会亲口报告同样的事，

圣灵吩咐我：要陪他们一起去，不要有任何疑惑。当时与我一起去的，还有这六位弟兄。后来我们就进了那人的家。

实际上，我认为自己没有一点赶不上那些“超级使徒”。

我们已达成了一致，认为应该拣选几个人，派他们与我们亲爱的巴拿巴和保罗一起到你们那里去。

彼得就请他们进来，招待了他们。第二天，他起身与他们一同去，还有一些约帕的弟兄陪他一起去。

各位蒙爱的人哪，我一直十分殷切地要写信给你们，谈论我们共有的救恩；我感到有必要写信鼓励你们，为曾经一次性地托付给圣徒们的信仰而努力争战，

第二天，保罗与我们一起去探望雅各，所有的长老也都来了。

我们对这些人，一刻也没有屈服妥协，好使福音的真理在你们中间继续存留。
