入夜、主示異象謂葆樂曰：『毋餒於心、侃侃傳道、勿緘爾口。吾與爾俱、孰得相害？邑中多屬吾民。』葆樂留是一載有半、力以主道授眾。

惟在復活節前、擬暫留伊法所、因此間門戶洞開、頗有發展工作之餘地；第反對分子、亦不在少數耳。

吾儕均可為之作證。』

然吾於生命置之度外、無所顧惜。但望能完成吾之行程、及所受於主耶穌之使命、以證天主恩寵之福音而已。

爾等諒憶當時吾儕在斐立比、雖已飽嘗辛艱凌辱、然賴我天主、再接再勵餘勇可賈、復於重重磨折之中、為爾傳述天主福音。

主假宗徒之手、廣行神蹟、信眾咸一德一心、集於所羅門廊下、餘眾不敢雜廁其中、然而民益敬之、男女信者日盛；

義塞人乎、當聆吾言！天主藉納匝勒人耶穌、以異能神蹟行於爾中、而為之證、是固爾所知者。

王臣曰：『主乎！及吾兒未死、懇即辱臨！』
