親愛之兄弟、爾其諦聽、斯世之貧人、乃天主之所眷顧、使其富於信德、而簡為天國之嗣子。蓋天國特為愛慕天主之人而設也。而爾等竟敢輕慢貧人！夫富人非即以勢凌爾、扭爾以至公庭者乎？

民眾及長老經生為之聳動、遽臨捕之、引入會堂、

爾時有虔誠之猶太人、來自天下萬國、寓於耶路撒冷？

吾知若輩非不渴慕天主、特慕之不得其道耳。

一邑見逐、則投他邑；吾實語爾、義塞諸邑、爾未遍歷、而人子已臨矣。

隸如言白有司、有司聞其為羅馬人、悚懼、親詣謝罪、送之出、乞其離境。二人既出獄、訪呂底亞、告慰同人而別。

願吾兄弟一思其聖召之所在。爾中鮮有世俗之所謂哲人、亦鮮有強有力者、與出身於貴族之人、雖然、世俗所視為愚者、天主則簡拔之、以愧眾哲；世俗所視為弱者、天主則簡拔之、以勝強有力者；世俗所認為卑卑不足道而視若無物者、天主則簡拔之、以毀滅有名無實之徒；庶幾血肉之身、無敢自衒自誇於天主之前。

眾乃懇耶穌出境。

斯輩猶太人既殘殺主耶穌基督及眾先知、又復逐我同人、實天主之逆子、而人類之公敵也。吾儕欲傳道於異邦人以弘濟蒼生、若輩乃予以阻撓；因是若輩惡貫滿盈、而天主之盛怒、已臨其身矣。

自此耶路撒冷教會受迫益甚；宗徒而外、盡散處猶太沙瑪里各地。
