主嘗示曰：「我立爾為萬國光、普施救恩於寰宇。」』

For this is what the Lord has commanded us:“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

This is what the Lord has commanded us to do. He said,“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles. You will bring salvation to the whole earth.’ ”( Isaiah 49:6)

“ I, the LORD, officially commission you; I take hold of your hand. I protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, and a light to the nations,

a light, for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”

Turn to me so you can be delivered, all you who live in the earth’s remote regions! For I am God, and I have no peer.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”

The LORD who rules over all says,‘ It will someday come to pass that people– residents of many cities– will come.The inhabitants of one will go to another and say,“ Let’s go up at once to ask the favor of the LORD, to seek the LORD who rules over all. Indeed, I’ll go with you.”’Many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the LORD who rules over all and to ask his favor.The LORD who rules over all says,‘ In those days ten people from all languages and nations will grasp hold of– indeed, grab– the robe of one Jew and say,“ Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’”

Praise the LORD, all you nations! Applaud him, all you foreigners!For his loyal love towers over us, and the LORD’s faithfulness endures. Praise the LORD!

Then those living on earth will know what you are like; all nations will know how you deliver your people.Let the nations thank you, O God! Let all the nations thank you!Let foreigners rejoice and celebrate! For you execute justice among the nations, and govern the people living on earth.( Selah)Let the nations thank you, O God! Let all the nations thank you!The earth yields its crops. May God, our God, bless us!May God bless us! Then all the ends of the earth will give him the honor he deserves.

The LORD reveals his royal power in the sight of all the nations; the entire earth sees our God deliver.

( 2: 1) However, in the future the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand of the sea which can be neither measured nor numbered. Although it was said to them,“ You are not my people,” it will be said to them,“ You are children of the living God!”

Nations come to your light, kings to your bright light.

“ Here is my servant whom I support, my chosen one in whom I take pleasure. I have placed my spirit on him; he will make just decrees for the nations.

The LORD demonstrates his power to deliver; in the sight of the nations he reveals his justice.He remains loyal and faithful to the family of Israel. All the ends of the earth see our God deliver us.

This is what will happen throughout the earth, among the nations. It will be like when they beat an olive tree, and just a few olives are left at the end of the harvest.They lift their voices and shout joyfully; they praise the majesty of the LORD in the west.So in the east extol the LORD, along the seacoasts extol the fame of the LORD God of Israel.From the ends of the earth we hear songs– the Just One is majestic. But I say,“ I’m wasting away! I’m wasting away! I’m doomed! Deceivers deceive, deceivers thoroughly deceive!”

Look, my earlier predictive oracles have come to pass; now I announce new events. Before they begin to occur, I reveal them to you.”Sing to the LORD a brand new song! Praise him from the horizon of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and everything that lives in it, you coastlands and those who live there!Let the desert and its cities shout out, the towns where the nomads of Kedar live! Let the residents of Sela shout joyfully; let them shout loudly from the mountaintops.Let them give the LORD the honor he deserves; let them praise his deeds in the coastlands.

Here is the message about Judah and Jerusalem that was revealed to Isaiah son of Amoz.In the future the mountain of the LORD’s temple will endure as the most important of mountains, and will be the most prominent of hills. All the nations will stream to it,many peoples will come and say,“ Come, let us go up to the LORD’s mountain, to the temple of the God of Jacob, so he can teach us his requirements, and we can follow his standards.” For Zion will be the center for moral instruction; the LORD will issue edicts from Jerusalem.

Let all the people of the earth acknowledge the LORD and turn to him! Let all the nations worship you!For the LORD is king and rules over the nations.All of the thriving people of the earth will join the celebration and worship; all those who are descending into the grave will bow before him, including those who cannot preserve their lives.

Sing to the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD, all the earth!Sing to the LORD! Praise his name! Announce every day how he delivers!

In the west, people respect the LORD’s reputation; in the east they recognize his splendor. For he comes like a rushing stream driven on by wind sent from the LORD.“ A protector comes to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their rebellious deeds,” says the LORD.

During his days the godly will flourish; peace will prevail as long as the moon remains in the sky.May he rule from sea to sea, and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth!

As a result they will conquer those left in Edom and all the nations subject to my rule.” The LORD, who is about to do this, is speaking!

Many nations will come, saying,“ Come on! Let’s go up to the LORD’s mountain, to the temple of Jacob’s God, so he can teach us his commands and we can live by his laws.” For Zion will be the source of instruction; the LORD’s teachings will proceed from Jerusalem.He will arbitrate between many peoples and settle disputes between many distant nations. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nations will not use weapons against other nations, and they will no longer train for war.

Then he said to me,‘ Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

He said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, because this man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before Gentiles and kings and the people of Israel.

“ Many nations will join themselves to the LORD on the day of salvation, and they will also be my people. Indeed, I will settle in the midst of you all.” Then you will know that the LORD who rules over all has sent me to you.

For from the east to the west my name will be great among the nations. Incense and pure offerings will be offered in my name everywhere, for my name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD who rules over all.

Simeon has explained how God first concerned himself to select from among the Gentiles a people for his name.The words of the prophets agree with this, as it is written,‘ After this I will return, and I will rebuild the fallen tent of David; I will rebuild its ruins and restore it,

Know for sure that I will then enable the nations to give me acceptable praise. All of them will invoke the LORD’s name when they pray, and will worship him in unison.From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, those who pray to me will bring me tribute.

and repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Those survivors from Jacob will live in the midst of many nations. They will be like the dew the LORD sends, like the rain on the grass, that does not hope for men to come or wait around for humans to arrive.

that the Christ was to suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, to proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.”

I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending youto open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Then I said,“ LORD, you give me strength and protect me. You are the one I can run to for safety when I am in trouble. Nations from all over the earth will come to you and say,‘ Our ancestors had nothing but false gods– worthless idols that could not help them at all.
