我們呢、也將上帝向列祖所答應的應許這好消息傳給你們，

而我們也把應許給祖先的這福音傳給你們，

夫我儕以所許列祖之福音報爾、

昔上帝許祖宗之事、迨我為其子孫時、乃甦耶穌以應之、即我今傳福音與爾者是也、

我儕以福音報爾、即所許我列祖之事、今天主以耶穌復活、為我儕為其子孫者應之、

吾儕報爾佳音：天主嚮所許諾於吾祖者、已踐履於吾人。蓋天主已令耶穌復活矣。

“ We are telling you the good news. What God promised our people long ago

And we bring you the good news that what God promised to the fathers,

“ And now we are here to bring you this Good News. The promise was made to our ancestors,

And we ourselves proclaim to you the good news of the promise that was made to our ancestors.

And we preach to you the good news of the promise made to the fathers,

And we declare to you glad tidings— that promise which was made to the fathers.

And we bring you good tidings of the promise made unto the fathers,

And we ourselves proclaim to you the good news of the promise that was made to our ancestors.

And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,

And we proclaim to you the good news about the promise to our ancestors,

We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers,

And now it is because of my hope in what God has promised our ancestors that I am on trial today.

It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.

“ But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

Tell him this is what the Lord Almighty says:‘ Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the Lord.

“ The days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed,

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

“ Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

I was the first to tell Zion,‘ Look, here they are!’ I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good news.

And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written:“ How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion,“ Your God reigns!”

and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well- fed calves.

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be mercifulto Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”

“ I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.

But the angel said to them,“ Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.

“ Seventy‘ sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.“ Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven‘ sevens,’ and sixty- two‘ sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.After the sixty- two‘ sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises.

Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

The angel said to him,“ I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news.

The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say“ and to seeds,” meaning many people, but“ and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise.For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

You who bring good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah,“ Here is your God!”

The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him.

“ Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come to his people and redeemed them.He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David( as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us—to show mercy to our ancestors and to remember his holy covenant,the oath he swore to our father Abraham:

“ On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.

“ Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is close to me!” declares the Lord Almighty.“ Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn my hand against the little ones.
