and for many days he was seen by those who had traveled with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to our people.

For many days he was seen by those who had traveled with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. Now they are telling our people about Jesus.

and for many days he appeared to those who had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people.

And over a period of many days he appeared to those who had gone with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to the people of Israel.

and he appeared for many days to those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people.

You are witnesses of these things.

After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.

“ Men of Galilee,” they said,“ why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you!”After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.Again Jesus said,“ Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”And with that he breathed on them and said,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”Now Thomas( also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.So the other disciples told him,“ We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them,“ Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you!”Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”Thomas said to him,“ My Lord and my God!”Then Jesus told him,“ Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.He said to them,“ Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet.And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them,“ Do you have anything here to eat?”They gave him a piece of broiled fish,

and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve.After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,

God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it.

Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country.These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee. It happened this way:Simon Peter, Thomas( also known as Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together.“ I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said,“ We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.He called out to them,“ Friends, haven’t you any fish?”“ No,” they answered.He said,“ Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter,“ It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say,“ It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him( for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water.The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.Jesus said to them,“ Bring some of the fish you have just caught.”So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.Jesus said to them,“ Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him,“ Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.

beginning from John’s baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.”

And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.

“ We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross,

He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen— by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.
