既訂期、有多人至保羅寓、保羅自朝至暮、歷歷證明天主國之道、引摩西律法、及諸先知預言、詳論耶穌之事以勸眾、

我中數人至墓、果遇如婦所言、惟不見耶穌、耶穌謂之曰、無知之人、不信諸先知所言、心鈍若此歟、基督如此受害而得其榮、不亦宜乎、乃由摩西始及諸先知、凡經載指己之言、悉為之明解、

兄弟乎、我甚欲爾知此奧義、免爾自視為智、即以色列人有剛愎者、惟待眾異邦人歸誠、

此後耶穌知諸事已成、為使經所載得應、乃曰、我渴、在彼有器盛醯、有人以海絨蘸醯、束於牛膝草上、遞至其口、耶穌受醯、曰、成矣、遂俯首、其靈歸焉、或作以靈交於天主

耶穌謂之曰、爾曹舉人子之時、方知我之為我、或作我為基督並所為無一自擅、乃循我父所教我者而言、

彼如此待爾、因不識父與我也、

此世之主此世之主即魔迷惑此等不信者之心、基督榮耀福音之光不照之、基督乃天主之像、

曰、昔我偕爾時、曾告爾云、凡摩西律法、先知書、及詩篇所載指我之言、皆必應、今果應矣、遂啟其聰、令悟諸經、

斯事得成、為應經所載云、其骨不折、又載云、人將觀其所刺者、○

惟保羅等離別迦前行、至彼西底之安提約、於安息日入會堂坐焉、讀律法及先知書畢、司會堂者、使人問曰、兄弟、若有勸民之語、請言之、

爾曹雖欲害我、天主反使我得善遇、保兆民之命、得如今日、

耶穌答曰、爾謬矣、因爾不識經及天主之大能、

人緣我名、以是待爾、因不識遣我者故也、

我昔為毀謗者、窘逐者、侮慢者、但此因在不信之時、無知而作、故猶蒙矜恤、

若然、則經所載此事必有者、如何得應乎、當時耶穌謂眾曰、爾執刃與梃而來執我、如捕盜然、我日偕爾坐於聖殿教誨、爾竟不執我、但此事得成、為應諸先知書所載、時諸門徒皆離之而奔、○
