并让门外的人，不论老少都眼目昏花，摸来摸去也找不着罗得家的门。

求你不要再惩罚我，你的责打使我几乎丧命。因为人犯罪，你管教他们，使他们所爱的被吞噬，像被虫蛀。世人不过是一丝气息。（细拉）

这该怎么说呢？以色列人努力追求，却一无所得，只有蒙拣选的人得到了，其他的人都变得顽固不化。正如圣经上说：“上帝使他们至今心智昏迷，眼睛看不见，耳朵听不到。”大卫也说：“愿他们的宴席成为网罗、陷阱、绊脚石，给他们带来报应；愿他们眼目昏暗，无法看见，永远弯腰驼背。”

因为耶和华把沉睡的灵倾倒在你们身上，祂封住你们的眼睛，盖住你们的头。你们的眼睛就是先知，你们的头就是先见。

亚拿尼亚去了，进了那家，就把手按在扫罗身上，说：“扫罗弟兄，在你来的路上向你显现的主耶稣派我来使你重见光明、被圣灵充满。”

耶稣说：“我为了审判来到这世界，使瞎眼的可以看见，使看得见的反成了瞎眼的。”

约柜抵达迦特的时候，耶和华攻击那城，使那里的男女老少都患了毒疮，全城惊恐不已。
