弗呂家、旁非利、埃及、以及毗連古利奈之呂彼亞；或自羅馬來此遊歷；或為猶太人、或為歸化者；

奉主名以傳道、無所顧忌；且與操希臘語之猶太人辯論、而若輩意圖殺之。

猶太人相語曰：『彼將何往、而使吾人覓而不獲耶？意者彼將周遊列國、以教萬民歟？

更有以彼古羅及斯多亞派哲學家數人起而與之詰辯。或曰：『此喋喋者、果欲何言？』或曰：『似宣傳異邦之鬼神者。』以葆樂言必稱耶穌及其復活、故云。

有生於居比路之若瑟者、理未人也。宗徒稱之為巴拿巴、譯言「安慰之子、」

斐理伯抵沙瑪里、宣揚基督。

斐理伯乃啟口、即以此經發端、為傳耶穌福音、

予在爾中、惟欲直陳基督、即被釘於十字架上之基督而已、餘則非予之所敢知也。

乃日於殿中、或在寓所、誨人不倦、而宣耶穌為基督焉。當斯時也信徒益眾、而中操希臘語之猶太人、訾議希伯來人忽其諸嫠之日給。
