易舟赴腓尼基、

有生於居比路之若瑟者、理未人也。宗徒稱之為巴拿巴、譯言「安慰之子、」

宗徒長老與會、眾遂推選素孚眾望之巴撒巴樹德及西拉二人、偕葆樂巴拿巴同赴安提阿；

天主曾語亞伯漢曰：「普天生靈、咸賴爾裔而獲福。」天主立子、先以福爾、欲爾自反、而脫罪惡耳。』

二人意見既左、遂各自分道。巴拿巴與馬爾谷乘舟赴居比路；

猶太人相語曰：『彼將何往、而使吾人覓而不獲耶？意者彼將周遊列國、以教萬民歟？

自此耶路撒冷教會受迫益甚；宗徒而外、盡散處猶太沙瑪里各地。敬虔者既葬司諦文、拊膺痛泣、而掃羅則蹂躪教會、擅入人宅、逮捕男女信徒、下之於獄。散之四方者、隨在傳道；

但訪求義塞家中之亡羊。

巴拿巴、掃羅既奉聖神之遣、乃赴西流基、乘舟至居比路。

同行者有凱塞里門徒、且攜納遜與俱。納遜者居比路人、夙奉教、即吾儕在耶路撒冷時之居停主人也。

安提阿教區有先知及主講數人、即巴拿巴、西門字尼結、古利奈人路求、分封王希祿之幼侶馬念、及掃羅是已。

葆樂、巴拿巴坦然答曰：『天主之道、本當先傳於爾；爾既棄之、而自絕於永生之道、吾乃轉傳於異邦。

既得之、攜之安提阿、與會眾相聚者、達一年之久、訓迪多人、門徒之被稱為「基督信徒」者、自安提阿始。時有先知數人自耶路撒冷來安提阿、

惟伯鐸祿至安提阿時、有過、予曾面斥之。

經凱塞里、轉陸、赴耶路撒冷、訪謁教會同人；抵安提阿、
