In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,“ Leave us alone! What business do You have with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are— the Holy One of God!”But Jesus rebuked him, saying,“ Be quiet and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, it came out of him without doing him any harm.And amazement came upon them all, and they began talking with one another, saying,“ What is this message? For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

He* said to them,“ Let’s go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may also preach there; for this is why I came.”And He went into their synagogues preaching throughout Galilee, and casting out the demons.

Now while he was still approaching, the demon slammed him to the ground and threw him into a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy and gave him back to his father.

Jesus was going about in all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.And the news about Him spread throughout Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and severe pain, demon possessed, people with epilepsy, and people who were paralyzed; and He healed them.Large crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.

And He was amazed at their unbelief. And He was going around the villages, teaching.

At that very time He cured many people of diseases and afflictions and evil spirits; and He gave sight to many who were blind.And He answered and said to them,“ Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: people who were blind receive sight, people who limped walk, people with leprosy are cleansed and people who were deaf hear, dead people are raised up, and people who are poor have the gospel preached to them.And blessed is anyone who does not take offense at Me.”

Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness.

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

But Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. Many followed Him, and He healed them all,

They taught in Judah, having the Book of the Law of the Lord with them; and they went throughout the cities of Judah and taught among the people.

And when they got out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him,and ran about that entire country and began carrying here and there on their pallets those who were sick, to wherever they heard He was.And wherever He entered villages, or cities, or a countryside, they were laying the sick in the marketplaces and imploring Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and all who touched it were being healed.

And He said to her,“ Because of this answer, go; the demon has gone out of your daughter.”And after going back to her home, she found the child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,and free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples; and a large multitude from Galilee followed, and also from Judea,and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon, a great number of people heard about everything that He was doing and came to Him.And He told His disciples to see that a boat would be ready for Him because of the masses, so that they would not crowd Him;for He had healed many, with the result that all those who had diseases pushed in around Him in order to touch Him.And whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they would fall down before Him and shout,“ You are the Son of God!”

Jesus went away from there, and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying,“ Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely demon possessed.”But He did not answer her with even a word. And His disciples came up and urged Him, saying,“ Send her away, because she keeps shouting at us!”But He answered and said,“ I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”But she came and began to bow down before Him, saying,“ Lord, help me!”Yet He answered and said,“ It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”And she said,“ Yes, Lord; but please help, for even the dogs feed on the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.”Then Jesus said to her,“ O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed at once.Departing from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee, and after going up on the mountain, He was sitting there.And large crowds came to Him bringing with them those who were limping, had impaired limbs, were blind, or were unable to speak, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them.So the crowd was astonished as they saw those who were unable to speak talking, those with impaired limbs restored, those who were limping walking around, and those who were blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

“ But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

Jesus gave them permission. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered the pigs; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.Their herdsmen ran away and reported it in the city and in the countryside. And the people came to see what it was that had happened.And then they* came to Jesus and* saw the man who had been demon possessed sitting down, clothed and in his right mind, the very man who had previously had the“ legion”; and they became frightened.

And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the slave in good health.Soon afterward Jesus went to a city called Nain; and His disciples were going along with Him, accompanied by a large crowd.Now as He approached the gate of the city, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a sizeable crowd from the city was with her.When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her and said to her,“ Do not go on weeping.”And He came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said,“ Young man, I say to you, arise!”And the dead man sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother.Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying,“ A great prophet has appeared among us!” and,“ God has visited His people!”And this report about Him spread throughout Judea and in all the surrounding region.

And they went on to another village.
