安得烈先去找自己的哥哥西门，对他说：“我们找到了弥赛亚。”——“弥赛亚”翻译出来就是“基督”。他就带西门到耶稣那里。耶稣注视着他，说：“你是约翰的儿子西门，你将被称为矶法。”——“矶法”翻译出来就是“彼得”。又过了一天，耶稣决定前往加利利地区。他找到腓力，对他说：“你跟从我！”腓力来自伯赛达，与安得烈和彼得同乡。腓力找到拿旦业，对他说：“我们发现了摩西在律法上所写的，和先知们所记的那一位。他就是约瑟的儿子，拿撒勒人耶稣。”拿旦业对他说：“拿撒勒还能出什么好的吗？”腓力说：“你来看吧！”耶稣看见拿旦业向他走来，就指着他说：“看，一个真正的以色列人！他里面没有诡诈。”拿旦业对耶稣说：“你怎么知道我呢？”耶稣回答说：“腓力叫你以前，你还在无花果树下，我就看见你了。”拿旦业说：“拉比，你是神的儿子，你是以色列的王！”

必有多民前往，说：“来吧！让我们登耶和华的山，到雅各之神的殿，好让他把他的道指示给我们，使我们行他的路。”因为训诲必从锡安而出，耶和华的话语必从耶路撒冷而来。

太初有道，道与神同在，道就是神。这道太初与神同在。万有是藉着他而成的；凡所成的，没有一样不是藉着他而成的。

那妇人放下她的水罐，回到城里告诉人们说：“你们来看！有个人把我过去所做的一切都说了出来，这个人会不会就是基督呢？”

后来，腓利出现在阿佐托。他走遍各个城镇传扬福音，直到他来到凯撒里亚。
