後來現給五百多個弟兄同一次看見；其大多數到如今還在，有的卻已在長眠着。

求你掩面、不看我的罪，求你塗抹我一切的罪孽。上帝啊，為我化造潔淨的心哦，使我裏面有更新而堅定的靈。不要丟掉我離開你的聖容；不要從我裏面收回你的聖靈。求你使我復得你拯救之喜樂，使我有甘心樂意的靈來扶持我。願我將你的道路教訓有過犯的人，好叫罪人轉回、復歸於你。

我的罪我讓你知道，我的罪孽我沒有掩蓋着；我說：『我要向永恆主承認我的過犯』；那麼你就赦免我罪的孽債。（細拉）為這緣故、一切堅貞之士在窘迫時都當向你禱告；大水泛溢時，那水不會觸害着他。

就在那時就發生了大地震；那城有十分之一倒壞了。在地震中遭難而死的人有七千名；其餘的人都很懼怕，就把榮耀獻與天上的上帝。

他們既喫了早飯，耶穌就對西門彼得說：『約翰的兒子西門，你深愛我、比愛這些更深麼？』彼得對耶穌說：『主啊，是的；你知道我愛你。』耶穌對他說：『你餵養我的羔羊。』耶穌第二次又對西門彼得說：『約翰的兒子西門，你深愛我麼？』彼得對耶穌說：『主啊，是的；你知道我愛你。』耶穌對他說：『你牧養我的小羊。』耶穌第三次對西門彼得說：『約翰的兒子西門，你愛我麼？』彼得因耶穌第三次對他說『你愛我麼？』就憂愁，對耶穌說：『主啊，你知道一切，知道我愛你。』耶穌對他說：『你餵養我的小羊。』

他們聽見了，就將榮耀歸與上帝，對保羅說：『老哥，你看猶太人中信的有多少萬，都是熱心於律法的人；

但是我為你祈求了，叫你的信心不消失；你回轉過來以後，要使你弟兄堅固。』

不過你還有多少名在撒狄、沒有使衣裳沾染污穢的；他們必穿白衣，跟我同行、因為他們是配得的。

『我實實在在地告訴你們，信我的、我所作的事、那人也要作；就使比這些更大的、他也要作，因為我往父那裏去；

於是這話就傳出來、在弟兄中間、說那門徒必不死。其實耶穌並沒有對彼得說他必不死，乃是說：『我若願意他存留着、等到我來，與你何干？』

耶穌把另一個比喻擺在他們面前，說：『天國好像一粒芥菜種；人拿了，種在他的田地裏。
