以后又有一次向五百多个弟兄显现。他们中间大多数到现今还在，也有些已经睡了。

求你掩面不看我的罪恶，求你涂抹我的一切罪孽。神啊！求你为我造一颗清洁的心，求你使我里面重新有坚定的灵。不要把我从你面前丢弃，不要从我身上收回你的圣灵。求你使我重得你救恩的喜乐，重新有乐意的灵支持我。我就必把你的道指教有过犯的人，罪人必回转归向你。

我向你承认我的罪，没有隐藏我的罪孽；我说：“我要向耶和华承认我的过犯”；你就赦免我的罪孽。（细拉）因此，凡是敬虔的人，都当趁你可寻找的时候，向你祷告；大水泛滥的时候，必不能达到他那里。

就在那时，大地震发生了，那座城倒塌了十分之一，因着地震而死的有七千人，其余的人都很害怕，就把荣耀归给天上的神。

他们吃了早饭，耶稣问西门．彼得：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我比这些更深吗？”他回答：“主啊，是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你喂养我的小羊。”耶稣第二次又问他：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”他回答：“主啊，是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你牧养我的羊。”耶稣第三次问他：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得因为耶稣第三次问他：“你爱我吗？”就忧愁起来，对耶稣说：“主啊，你是无所不知的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你喂养我的羊。

他们听了，就赞美神，对保罗说：“弟兄，你看，犹太人中信主的有好几万，都是对律法很热心的人。

但我已经为你祈求，叫你的信心不至失掉。你回头的时候，要坚固你的弟兄。”

然而在撒狄你还有几名是未曾玷污自己衣服的，他们要身穿白衣与我同行；因为他们是配得上的。

我实实在在告诉你们，我所作的事，信我的人也要作，并且要作比这些更大的，因为我往父那里去。

于是这话流传在弟兄中间，说那门徒不会死。其实耶稣并没有对他说他不会死，只是说：“如果我要他活到我来的时候，跟你有什么关系呢？”

耶稣又对他们讲了另外一个比喻，说：“天国好像一粒芥菜种，人拿去把它种在田里。
