後來，有一次向五百多位弟兄姊妹顯現，其中有許多至今依然健在，也有些已經安息了；

求你饒恕我的罪過，除去我一切的罪惡。上帝啊，求你為我造一顆純潔的心，使我裡面重新有正直的靈。不要丟棄我，使我離開你，也不要從我身上收回你的聖靈。求你讓我重新享受蒙你拯救的喜樂，賜我一顆樂意順服你的心靈。這樣，我就能把你的法則教導罪人，使他們歸向你。

我向你承認自己的罪，不再隱瞞自己的惡。我說：「我要向耶和華認罪。」你就赦免了我。（細拉）因此，趁著還能尋求你的時候，凡敬虔的人都當向你禱告；洪水氾濫時，就沒有機會了。

就在那一刻，發生了強烈的地震，那座城的十分之一倒塌了，因地震死亡的共七千人，生還者都在恐懼中將榮耀歸給天上的上帝。

吃過早餐，耶穌對西門·彼得說：「約翰的兒子西門，你比這些人更愛我嗎？」彼得說：「主啊！是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌對他說：「你要餵養我的小羊。」耶穌第二次問：「約翰的兒子西門，你愛我嗎？」彼得說：「主啊！是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌說：「你要牧養我的羊。」耶穌第三次問：「約翰的兒子西門，你愛我嗎？」彼得因為耶穌一連三次這樣問他，就難過起來，於是對耶穌說：「主啊！你是無所不知的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌說：「你要餵養我的羊。

大家聽了，都同聲讚美上帝，又對保羅說：「弟兄，你知道數以萬計的猶太人信了主，他們都嚴守律法。

但我已經為你禱告了，叫你不至於失去信心。你回頭以後，要讓你的弟兄剛強。」

不過在撒狄，你還有幾個人未曾玷污自己的衣服，他們要穿白袍與我同行，因為他們配得這樣。

我實實在在地告訴你們，我所做的事，信我的人也要做，而且要做更大的事，因為我要回到父那裡。

於是在信徒中間就傳說那個門徒不會死。其實耶穌並沒有說他不會死，只是說：「如果我要他活到我再來，與你有什麼關係？」

耶穌又給他們講了一個比喻：「天國就像一粒芥菜種，人把它種在田裡。
