因为时候要到，人必厌烦纯正的道理，耳朵发痒，就随从自己的情欲，增添好些师傅，

因为时候将到，那时人会厌烦健全的教导，耳朵发痒，就随心所欲地增添好些教师，

因为有一天，人们会厌倦纯正的教导，耳朵发痒，寻找许多迎合他们私欲的老师。

因为时候快要到了，人必容不下纯正的道理，反而耳朵发痒，随着自己的私欲，增添许多教师，

因为时候将到，人们容忍不了健全的教义，反要顺着自己的欲望，为自己的耳朵能被呵痒得舒服，去召聚许多教师。

因為時候要到，人必厭煩純正的道理，耳朵發癢，就隨從自己的情慾增添好些師傅，

因為時候將到，那時人會厭煩健全的教導，耳朵發癢，就隨心所欲地增添好些教師，

因為有一天，人們會厭倦純正的教導，耳朵發癢，尋找許多迎合他們私慾的老師。

因為時候快要到了，人必容不下純正的道理，反而耳朵發癢，隨著自己的私慾，增添許多教師，

因為時候必到，人必不容忍健全的教義，反而耳朵發癢，順着自己的私慾給自己堆積許多教師來，

因為時候將到，人們容忍不了健全的教義，反要順著自己的欲望，為自己的耳朵能被呵癢得舒服，去召聚許多教師。

蓋時至、人將不容正教、因其耳癢而徇己慾、多集厥師、

蓋其後、人必厭聞正道之教、喜聽悅耳之談、狥嗜欲、多其師、

蓋後必有人厭聞正道之教、喜聽悅耳之言、狥私慾而多增其師、

蓋時有必至、將見正道不容於世矣。滔滔者將徇其私意、好新務異各師其師；

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

The time will come when people won’t put up with true teaching. Instead, they will try to satisfy their own desires. They will gather a large number of teachers around them. The teachers will say what the people want to hear.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.

For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear.

For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires,

For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts;

For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

For there will be a time when people will not tolerate sound teaching. Instead, following their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves, because they have an insatiable curiosity to hear new things.

For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts,

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,

And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?

Thus says the Lord:“ Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said,‘ We will not walk in it.’Also, I set watchmen over you, saying,‘ Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said,‘ We will not listen.’

Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the Lord.They continually say to those who despise Me,‘ The Lord has said,“ You shall have peace”’; And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say,‘ No evil shall come upon you.’”

The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?

If a man should walk in a false spirit And speak a lie, saying,‘ I will prophesy to you of wine and drink,’ Even he would be the prattler of this people.

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.

Then Elijah said to the people,“ I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

To whom He said,“ This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest,” And,“ This is the refreshing”; Yet they would not hear.

Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them,“ Thus says God:‘ Why do you transgress the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the Lord, He also has forsaken you.’”So they conspired against him, and at the command of the king they stoned him with stones in the court of the house of the Lord.Thus Joash the king did not remember the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but killed his son; and as he died, he said,“ The Lord look on it, and repay!”

For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing.

Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets.

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

Therefore the anger of the Lord was aroused against Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet who said to him,“ Why have you sought the gods of the people, which could not rescue their own people from your hand?”So it was, as he talked with him, that the king said to him,“ Have we made you the king’s counselor? Cease! Why should you be killed?” Then the prophet ceased, and said,“ I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not heeded my advice.”

The earth mourns and languishes, Lebanon is shamed and shriveled; Sharon is like a wilderness, And Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.“ Now I will rise,” says the Lord;“ Now I will be exalted, Now I will lift Myself up.You shall conceive chaff, You shall bring forth stubble; Your breath, as fire, shall devour you.

But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.

And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they feared the people— for they knew He had spoken this parable against them.

Therefore do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your soothsayers, or your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying,“ You shall not serve the king of Babylon.”

For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.

Then they said,“ Come and let us devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come and let us attack him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.”

Also Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel,“ Please inquire for the word of the Lord today.”Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them,“ Shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?” So they said,“ Go up, for God will deliver it into the king’s hand.”

So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the Lord; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” And Jehoshaphat said,“ Let not the king say such things!”

Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying,“ Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.For thus Amos has said:‘ Jeroboam shall die by the sword, And Israel shall surely be led away captive From their own land.’”Then Amaziah said to Amos:“ Go, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. There eat bread, And there prophesy.But never again prophesy at Bethel, For it is the king’s sanctuary, And it is the royal residence.”Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah:“ I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheepbreeder And a tender of sycamore fruit.Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’Now therefore, hear the word of the Lord: You say,‘ Do not prophesy against Israel, And do not spout against the house of Isaac.’“ Therefore thus says the Lord:‘ Your wife shall be a harlot in the city; Your sons and daughters shall fall by the sword; Your land shall be divided by survey line; You shall die in a defiled land; And Israel shall surely be led away captive From his own land.’”

And the Lord said to Moses,“ Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in prison, for he was enraged at him because of this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time.
