“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

And when they had come to him, he said to them:“ You know, from the first day that I came to Asia, in what manner I always lived among you,serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews;how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus said to her,“ Give Me a drink.”For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.Then the woman of Samaria said to Him,“ How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.Jesus answered and said to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.

And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

And I appeal to you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words.

Jesus said to him,“ Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.”

Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him,preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.

in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,

Now when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard; but Paul was permitted to dwell by himself with the soldier who guarded him.

as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children,that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.
