感謝上帝！你們從前雖然做過罪的奴隸，現在卻衷心服從了所傳給你們的教導，

以前你在許多見證人面前聽過我的教導，你要把這些教導傳給忠信可靠、能夠教導他人的人。

主賜給我豐富的恩典，使我在基督耶穌裡有信心和愛心。

愚昧人的師傅、小孩子的老師，因為你從律法中得到了知識和真理。

我很快就要來了！你要持守你所擁有的，免得有人奪去你的冠冕。

你的教導要符合純正的教義。

因此，要回想你以前所領受、所聽見的教導，遵守這些教導，並且悔改。你若不警醒，我必在你意想不到的時候像賊一樣忽然來到。

親愛的弟兄姊妹，我一直迫切地想寫信跟你們談談我們所共享的救恩，但現在我覺得有必要寫信勸勉你們竭力護衛一次就完整地交給聖徒的真道。

淫亂、同性戀、拐賣人口、說謊、起假誓的人，以及其他違反正道的人。

最要緊的是：你們行事為人要與基督的福音相稱。這樣，不管是去看你們，還是只聽到你們的消息，我都能知道你們同心合意，堅定不移地一起為福音奮鬥，

凡事都要小心察驗，持守良善的事，

如果有人傳的教義不符合我們主耶穌基督純正的道和敬虔的教導，

要買真理、智慧、教誨和悟性，不可賣掉。

我們既然有一位已經升上高天的尊貴大祭司——上帝的兒子耶穌，就應當持守我們所認定的信仰。

要靠著住在我們裡面的聖靈牢牢守住交託給你的美善之道。

我們要堅定不移地持守我們所認定的盼望，因為賜應許的那位是信實的。

但你們要好好持守自己已經得到的，一直到我來。

但基督是以兒子的身分忠心治理上帝的家。我們若堅強勇敢，持定引以為榮的盼望，我們就是祂的家了。

孩子啊，你要守護智慧和明辨力，別讓她們離開你的視線。

言語純全、無可指責，讓那些反對的人無話可說、自覺羞愧。

父親教導我說：「要牢記我的話，遵守我的誡命，就必存活。你要尋求智慧和悟性，不要忘記或違背我的吩咐。不可離棄智慧，智慧必護佑你；你要熱愛智慧，智慧必看顧你。智慧至上，要尋求智慧，要不惜一切，求得悟性。高舉智慧，她必使你受尊崇；擁抱智慧，她必使你得尊榮。

你要持守教誨，不要鬆懈；要守護好，因為那是你的生命。

對持守智慧的人來說，智慧是生命樹，緊握智慧的人必蒙祝福。

我有謀略和真知，又有悟性和能力。
