予之造次顛沛、備嘗艱辛、亦為此福音而已。然予不以為恥也。無他、予知所仰望者之為誰氏之子、且深信彼之所寄於予者、彼必能保其完整、以待彼日之臨也。

That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.

That’s why I’m suffering the way I am. But this gives me no reason to be ashamed. That’s because I know who I have believed in. I am sure he is able to take care of what I have given him. I can trust him with it until the day he returns as judge.

which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.

That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.

Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge—

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

“ But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day— and you know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid;‘ For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’”

who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me.

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

“ Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.

each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.

for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained.

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.I and My Father are one.”

I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,

At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them.But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

And in His name Gentiles will trust.”

Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said,“ Father,‘ into Your hands I commit My spirit.’” Having said this, He breathed His last.

that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Then He said to me,‘ Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.’”And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said,“ Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!”Then, as they cried out and tore off their clothes and threw dust into the air,the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, and said that he should be examined under scourging, so that he might know why they shouted so against him.

and perseverance, character; and character, hope.Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

As it is written:“ Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

Now when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews from Asia, seeing him in the temple, stirred up the whole crowd and laid hands on him,crying out,“ Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, the law, and this place; and furthermore he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.”( For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)And all the city was disturbed; and the people ran together, seized Paul, and dragged him out of the temple; and immediately the doors were shut.Now as they were seeking to kill him, news came to the commander of the garrison that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city, raised up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.

And when a violent attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to abuse and stone them,they became aware of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding region.

He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for youwho through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

“ For the Lord GOD will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.

When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me.

Then Paul answered,“ What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.

And again, Isaiah says:“ There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.”Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Many will say to Me in that day,‘ Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles—if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you,how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery( as I have briefly written already,by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ),which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.

But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra— what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying,“ Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said,“ It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.

according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
