予之造次顛沛、備嘗艱辛、亦為此福音而已。然予不以為恥也。無他、予知所仰望者之為誰氏之子、且深信彼之所寄於予者、彼必能保其完整、以待彼日之臨也。

That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.

That’s why I’m suffering the way I am. But this gives me no reason to be ashamed. That’s because I know who I have believed in. I am sure he is able to take care of what I have given him. I can trust him with it until the day he returns as judge.

which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.

That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.

For this reason I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to protect what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

Because of this, in fact, I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, because I know the one in whom my faith is set and I am convinced that he is able to protect what has been entrusted to me until that day.

For this cause I also suffer these things. Yet I am not ashamed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.

So don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, or of me his prisoner. Instead, share in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God.

Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding irreverent and empty speech and contradictions from what is falsely called knowledge.

There is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all those who have loved his appearing.

So then, let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust themselves to a faithful Creator while doing what is good.

The LORD is good, a stronghold in a day of distress; he cares for those who take refuge in him.

Now to him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of his glory, without blemish and with great joy,

“ Now concerning that day and hour no one knows— neither the angels of heaven nor the Son— except the Father alone.

May the Lord grant that he obtain mercy from him on that day. You know very well how much he ministered at Ephesus.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.

Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them.

You are being guarded by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust him and not be afraid, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.”

He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of his glorious body, by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.

My God, I trust in you. Do not let me be disgraced; do not let my enemies gloat over me.

Those who know your name trust in you because you have not abandoned those who seek you, LORD.

“ Do not be afraid, for you will not be put to shame; don’t be humiliated, for you will not be disgraced. For you will forget the shame of your youth, and you will no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.

each one’s work will become obvious. For the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire; the fire will test the quality of each one’s work.

for which I suffer to the point of being bound like a criminal. But the word of God is not bound.

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand.My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.I and the Father are one.”

I am not praying that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

My goal is to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,

At my first defense, no one stood by me, but everyone deserted me. May it not be counted against them.But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that I might fully preach the word and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth.

The nations will put their hope in his name.

Into your hand I entrust my spirit; you have redeemed me, LORD, God of truth.

More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them as dung, so that I may gain Christ

keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

And Jesus called out with a loud voice,“ Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” Saying this, he breathed his last.

so that we who had already put our hope in Christ might bring praise to his glory.In him you also were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed.

“ He said to me,‘ Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”They listened to him up to this point. Then they raised their voices, shouting,“ Wipe this man off the face of the earth! He should not be allowed to live!”As they were yelling and flinging aside their garments and throwing dust into the air,the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, directing that he be interrogated with the scourge to discover the reason they were shouting against him like this.

endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

As it is written, Look, I am putting a stone in Zion to stumble over and a rock to trip over, and the one who believes on him will not be put to shame.

I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”

When the seven days were nearly over, some Jews from the province of Asia saw him in the temple, stirred up the whole crowd, and seized him,shouting,“ Fellow Israelites, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people, our law, and this place. What’s more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.”For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple.The whole city was stirred up, and the people rushed together. They seized Paul, dragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates were shut.As they were trying to kill him, word went up to the commander of the regiment that all Jerusalem was in chaos.

But the Jews incited the prominent God-fearing women and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas and expelled them from their district.

When an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to mistreat and stone them,they found out about it and fled to the Lycaonian towns of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding countryside.

He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was revealed in these last times for you.Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

This is the will of him who sent me: that I should lose none of those he has given me but should raise them up on the last day.For this is the will of my Father: that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him will have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

The Lord GOD will help me; therefore I have not been humiliated; therefore I have set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.

Then my enemies will retreat on the day when I call. This I know: God is for me.

Then Paul replied,“ What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

But if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed but let him glorify God in having that name.

And again, Isaiah says, The root of Jesse will appear, the one who rises to rule the Gentiles; the Gentiles will hope in him.Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

On that day many will say to me,‘ Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, and do many miracles in your name?’

For since he himself has suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.

For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—assuming you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that he gave me for you.The mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have briefly written above.By reading this you are able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ.This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of his power.This grace was given to me— the least of all the saints— to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of Christ,

I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by your name that you have given me, so that they may be one as we are one.While I was with them, I was protecting them by your name that you have given me. I guarded them and not one of them is lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture may be fulfilled.

by keeping us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. As a result, they are constantly filling up their sins to the limit, and wrath has overtaken them at last.

But you have followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, and endurance,along with the persecutions and sufferings that came to me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. What persecutions I endured— and yet the Lord rescued me from them all.In fact, all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day.

While they were stoning Stephen, he called out,“ Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”

Paul and Barnabas boldly replied,“ It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. Since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we are turning to the Gentiles.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the dark, for this day to surprise you like a thief.

I tell you, on that day it will be more tolerable for Sodom than for that town.

My eager expectation and hope is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all courage, Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life or by death.
