他必在海和荣美的圣山之间支搭如宫殿一般的帐幕；然而他们的结局来到，必没有人能帮助他。”

兽就开口向神说亵渎的话，亵渎他的名和他的帐幕，以及那些住在天上的。它得了允许能跟圣徒作战，并且能胜过他们；又有权柄给了它，可以管辖各支派、各民族、各方言、各邦国。

在杀戮你的人面前，你还能说“我是神”吗？在那些杀害你的人手里，你不过是人，并不是神。

因此，主耶和华这样说：因为你心里自以为是神，

我正在究察这些角的时候，看见角的中间长出另一个小角来。在这小角前面，有三个先前的角连根被拔起来。这小角有眼，像人的眼，又有一张说夸大话的嘴。

从这四个角中的一个角，又长出一个小角来，这小角向南、向东和向荣美之地，不断强大起来。它渐渐长大，高及天象，把一些天象和星星摔落在地上，用脚践踏。它狂妄自大，要高及天象之君；它除掉献给天象之君的常献祭，又拆毁他的圣所。因罪过的缘故，圣民（“圣民”和8:10~11的“天象”原文是同一个字）连同常献的祭都交给它；它把真理丢在地上，任意而行，凡事顺利。我听见一位圣者在说话，又有一位圣者问他：“这个关于除掉常献的祭，和引致毁坏的罪过，以及践踏圣所和圣民（“圣民”和8:10~11的“天象”原文是同一个字）的异象，要到几时呢？”他对我说：“要到二千三百个晚上和早晨，圣所才得洁净。”

“那王必任意而行，自高自大，超过所有的神，又说一些怪诞的话攻击万神之神。他必行事顺利，直到神的忿怒完毕；因为所定的事必会实现。
