So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies.

为此，神就把一种迷惑人的力量送进他们里面，使他们相信虚假之事，

故此，上帝就給他們一個引發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，

故此，神就給他們一個引發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，

上帝就讓他們是非不辨，去相信那些虛假的謊言，

因此，神就使錯謬的思想運行在他們當中，讓他們相信虛謊，

為這緣故、上帝就將謬妄「所運用的動力」送在他們身上，使他們信從虛謊，

為此，神就把一種迷惑人的力量送進他們裡面，使他們相信虛假之事，

故上帝施以乖謬、致信誑言、

為此、上帝任其大謬、信諸誑言、

故天主使其大謬、信從虛偽、

既不愛慕真理、天主亦祇得聽其從妄信謊、

For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

So God will fool them completely. Then they will believe the lie.

Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,

For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie:

Consequently God sends on them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false.

Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie;

Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.

But the people couldn’t believe, for as Isaiah also said,“ The Lord has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts— so that their eyes cannot see, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and have me heal them.”Isaiah was referring to Jesus when he said this, because he saw the future and spoke of the Messiah’s glory.Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue.For they loved human praise more than the praise of God.

Your prophets have given false visions, and your fortune tellers have told lies. The sword will fall on the necks of the wicked for whom the day of final reckoning has come.

“ But no, my people wouldn’t listen. Israel did not want me around.So I let them follow their own stubborn desires, living according to their own ideas.

Are you amazed and incredulous? Don’t you believe it? Then go ahead and be blind. You are stupid, but not from wine! You stagger, but not from liquor!For the Lord has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep. He has closed the eyes of your prophets and visionaries.All the future events in this vision are like a sealed book to them. When you give it to those who can read, they will say,“ We can’t read it because it is sealed.”When you give it to those who cannot read, they will say,“ We don’t know how to read.”And so the Lord says,“ These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but man made rules learned by rote.Because of this, I will once again astound these hypocrites with amazing wonders. The wisdom of the wise will pass away, and the intelligence of the intelligent will disappear.”

“ Didn’t I tell you?” the king of Israel exclaimed to Jehoshaphat.“ He never prophesies anything but trouble for me.”Then Micaiah continued,“ Listen to what the Lord says! I saw the Lord sitting on his throne with all the armies of heaven around him, on his right and on his left.And the Lord said,‘ Who can entice Ahab to go into battle against Ramoth gilead so he can be killed?’“ There were many suggestions,and finally a spirit approached the Lord and said,‘ I can do it!’“‘ How will you do this?’ the Lord asked.“ And the spirit replied,‘ I will go out and inspire all of Ahab’s prophets to speak lies.’“‘ You will succeed,’ said the Lord.‘ Go ahead and do it.’

Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

“‘ And if a prophet is deceived into giving a message, it is because I, the Lord, have deceived that prophet. I will lift my fist against such prophets and cut them off from the community of Israel.

So you can see we were not preaching with any deceit or impure motives or trickery.

Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.

The poor, deluded fool feeds on ashes. He trusts something that can’t help him at all. Yet he cannot bring himself to ask,“ Is this idol that I’m holding in my hand a lie?”

They are all liars, and their lies will lead to your being driven out of your land. I will drive you out and send you far away to die.

He loved to curse others; now you curse him. He never blessed others; now don’t you bless him.

I will send them great trouble— all the things they feared. For when I called, they did not answer. When I spoke, they did not listen. They deliberately sinned before my very eyes and chose to do what they know I despise.”

And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.

Then Micaiah continued,“ Listen to what the Lord says! For the Lord has pronounced your doom.”

And he said,“ Yes, go, and say to this people,‘ Listen carefully, but do not understand. Watch closely, but learn nothing.’Harden the hearts of these people. Plug their ears and shut their eyes. That way, they will not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor understand with their hearts and turn to me for healing.”

for many will come in my name, claiming,‘ I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many.
