And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

为此，神就把一种迷惑人的力量送进他们里面，使他们相信虚假之事，

故此，神就給他們一個生發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，

故此，上帝就給他們一個引發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，

故此，神就給他們一個引發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，

上帝就讓他們是非不辨，去相信那些虛假的謊言，

因此，神就使錯謬的思想運行在他們當中，讓他們相信虛謊，

為這緣故、上帝就將謬妄「所運用的動力」送在他們身上，使他們信從虛謊，

為此，神就把一種迷惑人的力量送進他們裡面，使他們相信虛假之事，

故上帝施以乖謬、致信誑言、

為此、上帝任其大謬、信諸誑言、

故天主使其大謬、信從虛偽、

既不愛慕真理、天主亦祇得聽其從妄信謊、

For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

So God will fool them completely. Then they will believe the lie.

Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,

So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies.

And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie:

And even as they did not like to retain God in[ their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with[ their] eyes, nor understand with[ their] heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess[ him], lest they should be put out of the synagogue:For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of[ them that are] slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity[ shall have] an end.

But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust:[ and] they walked in their own counsels.

Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which[ men] deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it[ is] sealed:And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near[ me] with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people,[ even] a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise[ men] shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent[ men] shall be hid.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade[ him], and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified[ him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

For our exhortation[ was] not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say,[ Is there] not a lie in my right hand?

For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose[ that] in which I delighted not.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and[ on] his left.And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And[ the LORD] said, Thou shalt entice[ him], and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do[ even] so.Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee.

And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
