以種種邪法、熒惑自求淪喪之徒。所謂自求淪喪之徒者、即不知愛慕真理、以望得救者耳。

But we have rejected shameful hidden deeds, not behaving with deceptiveness or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience before God.But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing,

Let anyone who has no love for the Lord be accursed. Our Lord, come!

But these men, like irrational animals– creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed– do not understand whom they are insulting, and consequently in their destruction they will be destroyed,

But because I am telling you the truth, you do not believe me.Who among you can prove me guilty of any sin? If I am telling you the truth, why don’t you believe me?The one who belongs to God listens and responds to God’s words. You don’t listen and respond, because you don’t belong to God.”

For these are the kind who do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By their smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of the naive.
